Savanah's Swan Song (Part 28)

Savanah’s scream was short but piercing. She rolled off the bed, landing on her ass with a thud, as her phone clattered across the floor. It settled facedown, rendering the flashlight feature moot and pitching the room back into blackness.
The singer crawled toward the fuzzy grayness seeping through the half-open bedroom door while simultaneously sweeping the floor with her hands in search of her phone.
CRACK!
She found it beneath her knee. The device might have survived five months and fifty pounds ago, but it was no match for Miss Georgia in her current state.
Savanah continued past her pancaked phone, through the pile of discarded clothes--including a frilly B-cupped bra from Frederick’s she’d outgrown months ago--toward the hallway. Reaching the door, she stood and groped for a light switch she knew was there, but couldn't seem to find--
She found it just as another light clicked on across the room. Chad, wearing boxers and a t-shirt, stood at the entrance to the master bathroom.
“Jesus,” Savana’s bot moaned from the mattress, its lithe body writhing away from the flood of light like a vampire. “Turn off the lights.”
“Get the fuck out of my bed--” Savanah said. Then, to Chad, “--and out of my life!”
“Can’t we discuss this in the morning?” Savanah’s replicant stretched her sinewy arms above her head, causing her bare breasts to peekaboo from the silk sheets. “Everyone will feel better after a good night’s sleep.”
Savanah hadn’t slept in two days. A minute ago, she wanted nothing more than to collapse into bed. Now, all she wanted to do was pop the head off her replicant’s narrow shoulders.
“There’s plenty of room,” her replicant continued, extending her arms out on either side of the spacious California King. “Even for you.”
“You fucking bitch!” In an instant, Savanah was on top of her replicant, pummeling it with punches. She had lost all control of her body. It was operating as autonomously as the robot beneath her.
Her left hand wrapped around the robot’s throat as her right showered it with blows across its pert button nose, doe eyes, and perfect smile. The perfect smile never faded as Savanah hit it time and again.
“Are you finished?” The pinned android asked. “You’re getting heavy.”
Savanah cocked her fist again, but before she could bring it down on the android’s face, its hand shot from the sheets and grabbed hold of her hair. A quick and violent tug to the left and Savanah toppled from the mattress, landing face-first on the floor.
Hands from behind grasped her waist, sinking deep into the excess flesh accumulated there, and pulled her to her feet. Savanah screamed and spun around, punching blindly at her assailant. Her fist connected, sinking deep into flesh and causing a satisfying snap of the head.
Chad staggered back, holding his nose. “Jebus,” he moaned. “I was jus’ tryin’ to hep!”
As blood oozed between Chad’s fingers, Savanah finally returned to her body…and her body was no match. Her legs buckled, and she staggered back into a sitting position on the edge of the mattress.
Meanwhile, the bed’s other occupant had arisen and was standing naked by the bedroom door.
“Fine,” the smirking robot said, closing the door and leaning against it. “If you want to do this now. We’ll do this now.”
