This is a little deviation from my normal posts to fill you guys in on what my plans are going forward with 2021. The first thing to mention is that I now have a little Discord server! Monthly Giveaways
When I first set up Patreon, I wanted to do a monthly artwork giveaway, but it's not allowed directly through Patreon. Instead, I'll now be running the giveaway every month in the Discord channel. Any £1+ patron has access to the #monthly-patreon-giveaway channel.
So, want a chance to win a custom piece of artwork every month? Get in that channel and react to the posts to enter! It's that easy.
Champion Lounge
I get a lot of people asking me for help with 3D artwork, coding or various other things related to my projects. As much as I'd love to help every single person, often the time required means I can only loosely point people in a better direction.
In light of this, I've created the #champion-lounge now available on my Discord server to £3+ patrons. If you need any help with 3D artwork or any of the tools/projects I've created, that channel will be the priority spot to get my undivided attention.
Note: This will not affect the support for wow.export which will still be available unhindered in the #wow-export channel on Marlamin's Party Tortollans Discord server.
wow.export
It's finally happening. The next major feature that will be released for wow.export is armature/animation support. This will be handled through GLTF (FBX is dead, sorry) which most modern solutions should support (and if not, you can always convert to other formats through Blender). There's no ETA on this feature at the moment.
The next feature we have in the works will be character customization. Like existing solutions, this will allow pre-baking of character skins and geoset selection into a model. Further down the line we'll also add support for rigged items (shoulders, buckles, etc).
Where in Warcraft
Still bringing in thousands of unique players every week, Where in Warcraft is still high on my radar. Over the next few months, we'll be moving forward with some pretty major updates which will not only bring an online competitive leader-board, but also Shadowlands, Draenor, Outland, Kul Tiras, Zandalar, Deepholm, Argus, Mechagon, Nazjatar and more to the game.
But wait, there's more?
Despite having literally zero time left in a day, I also hope to push forward with some plans for another WoW web game, and I'm also working full-time on a major project which I hope to share with people.. before 2030.
