In the comics, they do use John Constantine for this. But Jeis right; the way theyve connected it to a previous encounter was brillaint and frees them up to do whatever they want with Johanna. And the cast! The CAST! I feel like this was Neils way of rewriting his own story, the changes theyve made from the comic are big but they make much more sense for tv
