I am from England so maybe it is the American pronunciation

never heard anyone pronouncing it kai-tin. Always knew it as chitin with the "ch" sound.

lovely audio but it bugs me (pun intended) more than necessary that you pronounced chitin with a ch sound as I am used to it being pronounced kai-tin
