I’m Sorry for the Silence

First, I would like to deeply apologize for only posting this now.
I should have written this much earlier, but I wasn’t in a proper state of mind. I am truly sorry.
To get straight to the point, I am currently unable to work due to my health condition.
Three years ago, I was diagnosed with cancer and had to leave my job. After undergoing surgery, I spent time recovering at home. During that time, I looked for work I could do from home and eventually started this.
Even after starting this work, I would occasionally feel unwell, but I assumed it was simply because I was spending long hours at my desk and not exercising. Earlier this year, I had a medical checkup, and the results showed no abnormalities, so I didn’t suspect anything was wrong.
However, during my regular checkup six months later, I was informed that the cancer had returned. Knowing that cancer recurrence is often considered a death sentence, I was devastated. At that time, I wasn’t in the right state of mind and didn’t even think about leaving a message here. Once again, I deeply apologize for not reaching out sooner.
As for my current situation, I’ve undergone surgery and am undergoing treatment. Thankfully, contrary to my understanding that surgery is often not an option for recurrent cancer, my case was an exception. My tumor was in the nerves rather than the organs, making it a rare case. (Even during my initial treatment, my doctor mentioned that my case was so rare that while they had read about it, they had never encountered it firsthand before and had to look up information on Google to treat it.)
Since no organs were removed during my first surgery, a second surgery was possible. Moreover, as the tumor had not metastasized, it was completely removed, and I am currently undergoing chemotherapy.
Though it has been some time since the surgery, and I can perform daily tasks, I still cannot sit for extended periods. The side effects of chemotherapy are severe, making it difficult for me to eat, which has left me physically weak. Because of this, I am unable to work at the moment.
However, the surgery was successful, and I am receiving treatment. If the cancer does not return, I firmly believe I will recover. Once my chemotherapy is complete and my strength returns, I promise to come back.
I should have written this post much earlier, and I sincerely apologize for only doing so now. Once again, I am truly sorry.
