0.5.6 Devlog - What else!
🕑 Added 2024-03-21 20:06:23 +0000 UTCSo I'm starting work on 0.5.6 and obviously the main thing is the "Girl Games" event itself. I also want to (hopefully) include a further hookup with certain MCs after the event, depending on how you do.
Side note: as soon as 0.5.6 is done and the main core story up to that point is finished, the very first thing I'm going to do is rework the player data structure. A lot of issues in my last couple of builds have been down to this and it will also mean I can make the game more balanced, more interesting, but I'm loathe to do it now. i figure either way, the main story is the main story and everything I create can be reused going forward, but after this coming update, I might switch to 0.6.0 and refactor some of the code ... but I'm getting ahead of myself!
So outside of the main girl games storyline being done, and the potential to experience a fresh spicy scene with say ... Amy, Kevin, Dylan, Professor Anderson (<- I realize that's a lot, I might have to scale this back, we'll see), what other major loose ends or things have you come across that you think I should try and get working or tied up?
For example: I've had reports that the gloryhole stuff in the boy's washroom isn't working after the first visit. Also that if you take the Jennifer route and try to wear the harness and skirt outside of times she dresses you up, that doesn't work either. Those I guess you could say are bug fixes, but I'm also thinking about what are the main things you still feel like the game is missing in its current form, during the first four weeks of content - from arriving on campus to participating in the Girl Games.
Do you want more interractions/story stuff happening during the lectures? More stuff with Kevin? More interractions when you're dressed en femme? More of a story with Amy? More items in the shops? More everything?
Obviously, I'm going to keep working on fleshing out every aspect of the game, but I figured this was a good time to take the temperature and see if there was one or two things that the majority of you felt were still just totally missing or underserved currently!
So if there's something in particular you want - this is the time to let me know! I can't make any promises that they'll all be included in 0.5.6 (although I'll be making copious notes on what to work on in future builds too!) but it'd be so good to know how you're feeling about what's working and what isn't as I get this latest version underway! yes, the paperdoll artwork will be redone at some point don't worry! And i totally get what you mean about the makeup. Right now in the current version we're kinda relying on a combo of AI generated art + my mediocre photshop skills! But this will all be getting an overhaul.

I have one question. Are there any plans to update the artwork for the main character? Right now, it just looks, I dunno, clunky. And especially the makeup looks like a kind of clownish overlay. It always jars me out of the game.
