Monthly Update ...
🕑 Added 2021-07-29 14:55:17 +0000 UTCI'm gonna keep this post pretty short and to the point, but I thought I'd better fill you in on the latest developments! As some of you may have noticed, this montly status update is coming much later in the month than usual, and I have to admit, that was in part because I've been working like a banshee and I was seriously hoping to announce that I have a playable version ready to go ...
But I'm afraid that's still a little ways off. I've got everything hooked up and in place structurally - at least for the 'Heather' plotline - but I still have a little more writing and a few images and whatnot left to implement, and the last week I've been sidetracked by getting a goddamn save/load system up and running too. It's almost there, but my god it's a headache! There's no cookie cutter version I can just drop in or copy from somewhere - like my wardrobe system a while back, I'm having to write it all from scratch, which is kinda fun (at least in a maschocistic way!). But I'm almost there with that too, fingers crossed.
So yeah, billing is paused for another month (what a surprise). But I'm hoping next month is it, at least in a super basic Alpha capacity. I'll probably only share that version with you - as in, it won't go public - most likely because it will be filled with bugs and whatnot, but as always I'm still super excited to share it with you very soon!
In the meantime, I'm not sure how many of you follow my 'regular' writing work, but I put out a super huge (and super cheap) mega-bundle of my ebooks recently - mostly to keep me afloat financially while I get this goddamn game finished! Seriously this thing is a bargain: fifty ebooks for just over five dollars! So if you wanna check that out - and hey, it's about the same price as the top tier on here that I'm not billing you for currently, just sayin' - then here's the link!
Finally I just want to say thank you as always for your support and I'll make sure you're all the first to know just as soon as the game is ready to play!

I hope it works. It sounds amazing and has great potential. I'm glad you're enjoying the work. Hey, for all we know, Sisyphus thinks he's in the most hardcore workout program ever. "Sure it's tough. But just check out my abs! I am in AWESOME shape!"

Haha. Gotta admit, it does feel Sisyphean at times! But I don't want it to seem like I'm just complaining either. I truly LOVE making this game - in a lot of ways it's so much more satisfying than my day to day writing and when I get something working how I want it, it's an incomparable feeling. Seriously, the full idea/plan I have for this game, if I can get it working the way I picture would be bliss! X

I do hope you're getting things the way you want. It sometimes seems like constant frustration for you. Sisyphus is looking over and saying, "Wow, I got off easy." When you have something, I'll be happy to see it. If anybody isn't following your work, well, I don't understand that at all, but I can say that it's a really good collection.
