Monthly Update

First I tell you that I've STILL not finished the first main (Heather) storyline, which means the game is still not ready to share, and then I soften the blow by letting you know that you haven't been billed this month.
And ... yep. All of the above is true. That said, I have been working super hard on this, at the expense of my damn Amazon sales too(!), spending what amounted last month to nearly a whole full-time week of work (plus the usual evenings and weekends), and I am getting so so excited to share it all with you.
Here's a little updated glimpse of my current Notion planner so you can all see roughly where I'm up to:
You see, the thing with a game like this is, no one part of it can really exist in isolation. Sure, my main focus is on the first main full Heather storyline, but for that to happen, other things need to be put in place too. Like the "conversation system" - which is just a fancy name for working out how the heck I'm going to have the player talk to characters and make sure they reply with relevent info at various game points ... And which I now have up and running!
And of course saving and loading. You wouldn't wanna get near to the end of a full playthrough and then have your computer crash and have to go right back to square one, would you? So yeah, I'm having to take little excursions and add in new bits and pieces as I go to support the main storyline. But trust me, it's totally getting there!

And who knows! Maybe I'll give up sleep altogether and get this damn version out before the end of this month ... Just don't hold your breath! All you need to know is, as always, I'm working super hard and I promise it will all be worth it.
