People's History of Slavjank (early version -- Patron exclusive for now)
🕑 Added 2024-07-31 17:16:53 +0000 UTCRemember the RPG book I announced? Here are the first three chapters in a video form. Some of the weirdest Eastern European lore. The first RPGs.
NOTE: This is an early version and it contains known mistakes: chapters 1 and 2 have botched endings (stupid), the background images in the Patron credits segment are not dark enough, many smaller mistakes. The Anglo-Saksi have infected me with the Anglo virus (common cold) and I can't re-record the bad bits yet.
IMPORTANT: This is Patron-only until I recover my voice (so until Friday at the very least).

Leaping off topic, that is, to Sweden, the Valentinovich story remind me of the determined hobbyist insanity that is Illwinter Game Design. Two guys iterating on the same 2 games for 30 years and counting. Kristoffer Osterman is also a polymath, though less of a funny occult one. With those 30 years of development behind it, Dominions multiplayer is the most complicated strategy computer game I've seen people actually play competitively. There is a channel called Perun, who used to cover the games using professional diplomatic theory and military analysis. He now covers real life diplomacy and military analysis. Anyway I love yapping.

I think this is my favorite video of yours. I am a sucker for history pieces.

Slavjank video ideas: 1. Artyom the Astral Essence (it has suprisingly good gameplay and deep lore) 2. Paradise Cracked

I'm curious which games make it in! There are some really obscure and definitely janky Czech RPGs.

I'm sorry to hear we got you sick

Wish you a speedy recovery, and if I may chime in, FOLON, being a fanmade project, is probably the better choice to give spotlight to earlier, but either way it's good.

Get well soon!

Very interesting video! My piece of feedback is that the music shift at 25:14 to 25:20 is kinda jarring.

As someone from western Europe I hope this is as chaotic as I've been lead to believe
