I totally didn't even notice the halo until Chris called it out XD Off hand not sure which actually came first but another reference you may have missed was when Genkai caught Suzuka falling with her fist. That shot was a clear reference to Goku vs Napa in DBZ (or vice versa)

In this episode one of my all time favorite funny quotes from Hiei was "This idiot even made Kuwabara seem smart." I literally love his lines in this anime. 🤣
