Coming Patreon switch

I wanted to remind you guys that starting this November, every Patreon accounts are going to get automatically switched to an universal pay upfront upon subscription model across the platform.
For all of you who are already subscribed -and can read this message- it's honestly not going to change much if anything and you probably won't even notice the difference.
On my end, like I said before, I'm not super thrilled by the change as I liked the flexibility and traceability of the old model but there is not much I can do about it ^^;
I keep getting pressed by Patreon to make the switch right now, so to avoid any problems I'm going to do it in a few days, before the deadline. Probably the 25.

I hate they are doing this but we'll just adapt as always have as a community and your supporters. I just hope my card will still be accepted. If not I need to get an encrypted debit card anyway for commissioning you and others so this might end up being that kick in the ass I've needed.

Don't mind the pay switch. Been here since the beginning of Patreon, literally. However, I'll switch to SubscribeStar if they go the moron route like DA and decide to ban you or make life difficult.

I can't give you a straight answer here ^^; It really depends. You have to know there is a caveat with Substar that is both it's main flaw and its main strength : it doesn't use PayPal. On one hand that means it doesn't use the most widespread and monopolistic payment system in the world which means of course less ease of use when it comes to subscribing. On the other hand it means it's completely immune to any pressure or influence from Paypal which has been at the forefront of the current puritanistic wave sweeping internet, forcing sites to drop vore of NSFW altogether ( Their latest victim was Gumroad ) If the absence of Paypal doesn't bother you then my response is yes, there is really very few others downsides to Substar and mostly only upsides as I think the experience and navigations there are more pleasant overall :)
