Selfportraits
🕑 Added 2023-02-24 10:21:23 +0000 UTCToday was supposed to be a publication with my muse, but today is February 24. The war has been going on for exactly 1 year. And I wanted to share a mini-shoot of self-portraits with my favorite studio in Kyiv - Teletype.
It is located in the very center of the city near the Olympic Stadium. The studio itself at first glance is not at all unique, especially if you got there in cloudy weather. But it is always so comfortable for me. Maybe I have such warm feelings for Teletype because of the path that I pave towards it.
These were usually weekend mornings. I rode a big yellow trolleybus to the "Park Shevchenko" stop, there I strolled through an almost empty park, only lively dogs ran from one tree to another and half-asleep owners followed them. The birds were singing, the leaves were rustling, and you could smell coffee when you passed the cafes that were opening little by little. Then I got to a large street, which is usually very noisy on weekdays, many cars, people and everyone is in a hurry - but on weekends it is quiet - sometimes you meet a passer-by and some car. At the end of this street, a square near the stadium was waiting for me, where there must have been a couple of people or a company just returning home after a night out. And here I am almost at the studio. All that remains is to pass by the grandmothers selling flowers on the corner of the street. The administrator greets me in the lobby with a smile on his face and takes me to the location. The door opens... and I am "knocked off" by the smell of freshly brewed coffee, which is already waiting for me in a cup on the table. Its love
I really miss Kyiv and the emotions it gave me.
P.S yesterday I saw a video where Vanga predicted a war and said that the war would start in the winter between two kings - the old and young green ones, and would end when it was already warm in 2023. And yes, I want to believe that it is true.
Contra spem spero
Так! Я буду крізь сльози сміятись,
Серед лиха співати пісні,
Без надії таки сподіватись,
Буду жити! — Геть думи сумні!
Something drew me to Ukrainian literature 😀 sorry
