If I remember correctly, from this episode on during the intro when it shows the sky view of Shibuya you can actually see the hole that Sukuna left after his fight with mahoraga.

it doesn't cut any scenes, it's just that when it was released it was rushed. so the pacing of the fight felt akward and moments where really confusing. but they had more time to do the blue ray so they polished it alot more and added scenes inbetween to make the fight more clear and fucking georgeous

About Sukuna's domain: For example Dagon's domain (the squid that Toji killed) was an entire beach with sea but it didn't interact with any of the buildings in the real world that's because domains are dimensions created within a barrier, you can't normally have a domain without a barrier but Sukuna has a unique domain. He is able to create a dimension without a barrier so it is bigger and it can interfere with our world and because of a pact Sukuna made his domain can be as big as 200 meters but he reduced it to 140 metres so he doesn't hurt megumy. Inside of the domain two attacks are carried out"cleve" or "fillet"(depends on the translation) attacks anything that has cursed energy and "dismantle" attacks anything that doesn't have curse energy, those two attacks rain down at everything endlessly until the domain is done. A truly terrifying domain from the king of curses.

About Mahoraga: Mahoraga is not a beast within megumy but a part of the ten shadows technique so actually it's the same as the wolfes and the frogs megumy has been summoning this entire time to fight, the only difference is that Mahoraga is way stronger than them. It's ability is to adapt to anything and everything once that big wheel on its head spins so the best way to take it out is with one finishing blow before it can adapt or regenerate . The problem with the ten shadows is that the shikigami in the beginning are like wild animals and the user has to defeat them to control them so he can summon them as many times he wants in order to subjugate them that's how megumy can summon Mahoraga but nobody has ever managed to defeat it that's why it attacked megumy. Like the Kamao clan has the blood manipulation technique as it's signature technique the zenin clan has the ten shadows. That is also why Toji tried to sell megumy to the Zenin clan because he knew that they would pay really good money for this powerful technique and he thought that they would be good to megumy for having it unlike himself who was treated badly because he didn't even have curse energy. (By the way if you rewatch the show from episode 1 you will see that megumy tried to summon Mahoraga multiple times which means he has always been a little bit suicidal).
