Skeleton Warriors
🕑 Added 2021-03-26 19:33:03 +0000 UTCAlthough the humble skeleton is perfectly good tool to use to test a low level party, playing the basic undead baddy any better than just mindlessly advancing towards the closest enemy can raise questions among savvy players. "How come that archer knew that I was concentrating on a spell?" or "Really? The skeleton with the shield is dodging?" and "What do you mean roll an oppossed athletics check?". Sure, the presence of a necromancer or other type of commander can lay these questions to rest but not all filler dungeon rooms are going to have that dude in there.
So the skeleton warriors were born. These guys are raised using a regular animate dead when certain criteria are met. Your players can go on to learn how to raise those for themselves if you are the sort of DM that allows - or rather tolerates- undead raising for PCs. This will probably lead to your players naming their undead servants with even more ridiculous names than usual.
The STLs for the three differenly armed skeleton warriors are going to be made available in April's release for all tiers.
