Well there will be a little bit more exposition...but mostly it will reveal the characters motives and goal.

Good. You need a world to hang the story on, but exposition always runs the risk of slowing things down. Getting it done without too much conversation helps a lot. Now we know who lives on the planet, what each group's general motivations are, and how they handle people who become a problem.
