May 2025 Status Report
🕑 Added 2025-05-30 19:19:09 +0000 UTCWell this month went much smoother! Though the v27 update itself will not be until likely the end of June, but there's definitely enough stuff ready atm that it could be an update now. However I'd like to have the Starlight District thing I'm working on actually done for it, and it will help make the update be even more substantial.
The first chunk of May was dedicated to setting up the Elf CG that was teased, which included needing to shift the original art into the proper layered file format, cause it was still using the old system, and as I expected the multiple character CG took some effort to actually implement and some tune ups to the 'roled CG' system as well. Additionally I used existing expression parts on the elf to give them a sleeping expression, which then led me down a tangent to add in an settable automatic option on monsters to have them swap to a sleeping expression if they have one, as it's something I thought I did already. So a handful of characters now also use this. But I also don't intend to get expressions dedicated to it for every character.
Aside from bug fixes that also occurred, damage number and combat info is now added to the history screen again for people to check, and player aphrodisiac skills can defeat enemies if they're over the hp limit.
There has also been a lot of editing for the myriad of content Val has been working on, such as a new Matango event + Ancilla chore, a new scene with Amber, and a new scene with the Lumiren.
Then of course there was the planning for how to order the implementation of the int sigil hunt. Which eventually landed on the Starlight District being next. Then the planning for said District's important locale, which is definitely in part why this update needs to be next month and not this month, because making logic puzzles and riddles takes a lot of thinking, drafting, and consideration. Which, I do think all of that aspect it is now figured out aside from being put into the game, as iterating on such things without it being decisive would be pain. And equally, I'm pretty sure they won't be pain for people to engage with.
After having that planning mostly settled I then also started on the Int Sigil hunt intro, that plays when you enter the capital for the first time after doing the big perpo intro. Which also includes adding Heather, the guide for the hunt, to the Eros district to talk to and ask questions about getting the Int Sigil, or reminders about it, and a few other more casual topics. This also needed me to tweak the Eros Districts Menus a bit, so hopefully those won't be annoying to navigate.
Also despite being called 'hunt', it is more about completing 3/4 (I'm still not sure), out of 7 objectives to get the sigil, with an objective in each of the districts.
As a reminder the Casino is an entirely separate thing where you get the Luck Sigil.
All that yammering aside, next is setting to working on actually setting up the Starlight District's objective in the game, and the fun events that occur if you mess up. Which, should all be doable by the end of next month unless I've horribly misjudged something.

The following question is not neceassarily for the next update but will Perpetua continue to follow the MC and also meet the Dark Knight? If I remember correctly the Dark knight has not paid compensation for blowing Perpetua of the mountain lift.

She already has a lot of content and aside from other priorities mattering first, I can also only move in so many directions at once. I dont think the MC was freaking out in that? Unless I'm misunderstanding what you mean? I also don't think she was overly sadistic either. It is also a loss scene not a mutual one. Understandable, but again scope and focus. as for the jiffic thing, wat???

I think it more depends on how the later end of the game ends up for combat compared to monsters, while also avoiding power creep, and more importantly the endless dialogue spiral.

Day 700+ of hoping for more wholesome Venefica content. It's such a shame we have a whole quest with her and alot of information and/or showcases of her being a rather sweet and caring person underneath. But her sweetness is locked behind paying her. And the only other interactions are working for her or sparring, which just ends in her sadistic treatment. The new titfuck defeat started out nice, but just became the annoying thing where the MC starts freaking out and she goes sadistic. I was hoping for an actual scene of us just showing our love for her boobs. I want the genuine, lovey-dovey, mommy side of her to be available aswell for us who love her character, but aren't into the S&M pet play aspects only. Like cuddles, love-making in her bed, nursing her milk while held in her arms(without having to pay for it) etc. That side of her has been teased for quite awhile now. I think how she acts during the Deluxe love chocolate scene is very nice. Lots of sweet nothings and love making. Into bunny rut without any sadistic plays and she blushes cutely after you assure her that it was all great. It doesn't help that Jiffic now makes comission NTR art of her :(
