March 2025 Status Report
🕑 Added 2025-04-07 15:46:22 +0000 UTCWell for starters on why no update, no April fools post, and why this is late. My power went out due to an ice storm on the 30th of March, and didn't come back until the 6th of April. I did post about this in the discord server but I know not everyone's in there, and due to this hindrance I'm also making this a public post.
Which, I am considering just making status reports public in general for better communication, but that is a separate thing.
But yes, while i was working hard to get the update done over the weekend to post that Monday, I lost power, meaning I couldn't do any further work effectively, or even remotely be able to upload an update. Which of course also screwed any plans for doing an April first update for something like MBD.
Now I have power again and can resume work properly, given my set deadlines are completely toast I'll not rush things as I get back into it, but I think I should be able to get v26.9 done by Friday.
As for an April 1st/MBD update, given the day is missed I'm not sure if I should spend the time on it or not after the fact, but I'd be open to feedback for that.
But for March progress itself, tbh I can't properly remember the order of events now. But there was: Editing for the substantial content update for a character Val was working on. Multiple balance changes such as making Strain/Favor a better system, there was also a bunch of bug fixing. Adding of a few new functionalities and perk tags. The implementing of Sofia's sex CG, which was definitely more of a whole thing that I thought it would be. Her 'Ambush Her' scene which the CG is for I have also rewritten for improved quality and to go with the CG more effectively. I also implemented the close up CG for Selena that I haven't shown off yet. And there was a bunch of work on the Capital event/fight I was working on, which still needs to be tested and finalized with the last of its content, and is the only thing left I need to do for the update. Though depending on how the week goes maybe I'll try to sneak in some more stuff.
Once v26.9 is out and settled this month with any bug fixing it needs after launch, I'll move to working on v27 which will be focused on further capital district progress, though given the power outage kerfuffle and needing to finish the current update, v27 won't be out until sometime in May.

And please do give me some feedback on if I should bother to do a MBD/April 1st thing despite missing the date.

Thank you for your hard work, and the hard work of all your comrades as always Thresh! It's nice to have you back in the land of electricity. Very excited for all the new stuff! As for an MBD update, I think it should really be a matter of whatever takes your fancy - if you find yourself inspired to tease Iaru a little more, then so be it, but otherwise, work on what inspires you, or, maybe even a break is good! After all, having a forced power-outage break is a bit different to consciously resting in a way you would like, but of course, I also get if that isn't such an easy thing for you. Either way, I hope you've been having fun making these updates, because I certainly know I've enjoyed playing them <3

Definitely focus on the main game, but mbd is awesome and i would love to see an update
