July 2024 Status Report
🕑 Added 2024-08-08 19:40:28 +0000 UTCLast month started off with some fixes to make v26.2a, before moving on to doing even more bug fix hunting for 26.3, which continued through the month intermittently, as well as the labyrinth floor 3 changes and other labyrinth QoL changes for levers and treasure chests.
Then I spent time getting my new computer, and getting it set up with all the things transferred over, which took almost a week given delivery troubles and all the stuff that needed to be backed up and transferred and the computer itself set up. Which this upgrade means that I can compile builds for the game about x4 as fast as before, and the wifi connector means i can also upload the game updates about 10-30x faster depending. It has made recent updates much less time consuming to actually post everywhere.
Once that was all set I then went onto doing the big perk go over for new perks and tweaking some existing ones for the player, with the primary goal to add willpower and luck perks of many variety, I hope to continue to add more player options as development continues.
Said perk updates were capped off with setting up the Goddess' Favor system and adding increasing costs to surpassing failed checks and its perks to hopefully make that system better and more finite. Based on feedback though it might be a bit over tuned and make things too easy, but I will be keeping an ear out for that.
Paralysis I would also like feedback on, there were a few tweaks in the update for it, but may yet rehaul it again and reuse the energy cost increase thing for another status effect or something.
Felt also upgraded the .json validator debug tool [which modders can also use] which led to finding assorted hidden bugs to get fixed, some of which are surprising.
Here's what it helped cause to get found and fixed for the curious:
* The debt pay off scene no longer improperly replays itself every time you go back to the pay debt menu if you've paid off your debt.
* You can no longer improperly repeat the "Do you have money problems?" conversation with Mika from it trying to detect a choice from the wrong event.
* Beris' Hero roleplay scene now properly sets the choice to activate its weaknesses to her fight.
* You can now complain to the oni sisters if you suspect Kotone is up to no good with her hypnosis before getting max into her trance stuff, the conversation somehow got broken due to a call change at some point.
* Iabel can now actually use her Imperious Captivation and Royal Indulgence skills.
* May have fixed an issue with Trisha's loss scenes, though they may have been playing despite the oddity.
Then near the tail end of the month I set to giving the Livewires rut compatibility akin to Galvi, and also gave the Livewire shop keep a BJ scene because I had idea with her mask. But with how close the end of the month was by then I didn't have time for much else for new content things.
Then I sent out the update, and have since made another bug fix patch to fix more problems and do some QoLs i shoulda jammed into the 26.3 update itself, like a respec ticket, but I spaced it.
Not sure what I'll focus on this month yet but I think I would like to do a more lewd content focused update if possible given all of the mechanical things recently, but we'll see. There may also be a smol extra bug fix patch for some things given atm outside of combat you can't remove the blueballs perks due to a bit of an oopsie with the fix I did to stop blueballs from going away when you're edged or don't cum due to heroic cumback.
