But before you can be fully entrapped by the gilded mimic, a pouty huff emanates behind you while a myriad of grasping slender hands grab ahold of you from behind, eerie dark energy looming from a second, dejected mimic woman, revealing both of the treasure chests are mimics!
The duo then play a pouty game tug of war with your body using their separate cavalcade of appendages...
(Note, such a scene wont appear in game (Probably) I just thought it was fun for the teaser. :D)
As you can see, the Mimic revision, diverged substantially from the initial sketch. This was due to all the feedback I got on it, which led me to have a number of ideas, which essentially kind of split the generic mimic's initial stuff a bit between the revision and the golden mimic, though the golden mimic was made before I actually decided on the mimic revision fully. This does mean that the existing mimic will need to be fairly rewritten to match the new art better, but I'm confident it will be worth it, and with the amount of updates her fight needs I think it would have been a bit likely to occur anyways.
Also, guh- how is it already the 25th?! Why don't I have the update done yet, it def shoulda been done by now... I'm really dropping the ball these last two months... There's no excuses or subversion, I'm actually just fairly upset at my lack of consistent progress. Though it is getting close to being ready, I just have a number of loose ends to tie up for it to be done.
The prelaunch editing stuff has gone really smoothly though. So there should be much less slome in the text than normal. :D

Okay, which one of y'all mfs fed the mimic after midnight? Seriously though, this is a big improvement. I'm actually almost a little disappointed that such an intricate design is being used on a nameless enemy. Girl's looking like a full-on boss fight now.

honestly you could prob keep the old mimic for lower level encounters since she looks uhhh a lot more powerful than any of the other low level areas enemies. I like her a lot though

i do kinda miss the fishnet around the chest but overall this seems like a solid design i do really like her overall tho, those expressions are delightfully devilish

Honestly? I love the new Mimic design more then golden one you showed us before, that one was too childish for my liking but this is just perfect.... Though the seemingly countless arms coming from the chest is a tad disturbing, overall, it's a much better Mimic art
