Oh No! It's MOM! Developer Commentary (PATREON EXCLUSIVE BONUS FACTS BELOW)
🕑 Added 2020-12-11 23:44:54 +0000 UTCSo my first Developer Commentary using this weird new video format went up today at noon! Lots of behind-the-scenes stuff along with me answering some questions from YouTube and Twitter on the game!
Since you guys support me over here, I'm gonna give you guys five extra fun facts about the game that weren't mentioned in the video:
1. MOM refers to the main character as SON because her programming limits her to calling anyone other than FATHER by the name of "SON" and/or "DAUGHTER."
2. The voice audio for the main character while he's in the maze, MOM and FATHER were all made using Software-Automatic-Mouth, or SAM.
3. This game is the only Patreon-Exclusive game so far that I've regretted making exclusive to Patreon. I believe this is one of my most creative games and appeals to nostalgia enough to have done very well on Itchio and GameJOLT.
4. MOM almost made an appearance in "Slendy Something..." as an enemy with her very own map, but I decided to just make her into an easter egg, instead.
5. The overlay in-game was created because I was too lazy to create an 'instructions' option for the main menu. The game was originally supposed to be a simple 'play' and 'quit' main menu, but eventually it evolved to have a level select, stars and graphics settings.
Also, since this is a "bonus" Patreon exclusive post with extra info, feel free to ask me ANYTHING you like about "Oh No! It's MOM" and I'll answer it!
