Part Three
Derek downed the entire massive shake in a matter of seconds. He let out a massive burp as he set the emptied glass down, absent-mindedly rubbing his belly with his other hand as he sighed in relief.
His most recent shake hadn’t been another one of his doctor-prescribed ones… He’d already had two of them that morning, but this one was one of Matt’s. Whatever the guy put in them, they just seemed to keep getting more and more delicious. Derek had come to crave them, especially over the weekends when they weren’t so readily available.
He’d tried to make them himself, but his never turned out as good. They didn’t even come close… There was something about Matt’s that just made them so tasty, so delightfully refreshing yet filling, oddly invigorating and cravable, ironically, something like the maintenance worker’s undeniably wonderful cock.
Speaking of said maintenance worker, he was once again leering at Derek from across his office. Matt seemed to particularly like it when the increasingly fecund VP gave his belly any sort of attention, most especially when he rubbed it. Derek continued to try and ignore the mound most of the time, but not now…
Now, he blatantly rubbed the orb as he sat there in his office chair, pushed back from his desk. The babies were particularly active at the moment and sometimes, rubbing his middle helped calm them down. Derek realized he probably looked caring, coddling and content doing so, but that most definitely wasn't the case.
Not most of the time, anyway… Now that it was somewhat out, he couldn't help but feel oddly conflicted about his predicament.
Derek sighed as he looked at his chest. It was getting notably puffier. His formerly toned pecs were starting to really round out and bulk up and as a result, were beginning to get uncomfortable.
His hormones seemed to be off the charts. He was hornier than he'd ever been in his life, to the point that at the end of most days, he'd call Matt to his office and demand he follow him home so he could further tend to his needs. Whatever the janitor did to him during the day was never enough and Derek just couldn't bear the thought of going an entire night without at least one more good fucking.
Things were really starting to get out of control. Derek hated himself for getting into this jam, but there wasn't much he could do about it now.
“Keep those hands movin’...” Matt huffed out as he looked down at the exec he was currently fucking missionary style on his uber expensive, king-sized mattress.
As he almost always did, Derek did as instructed, his hands moving in slow, languid circles over and across his belly. The undershirt he had on was hiked up over the swell to just under his chest. Even though he was complying, he decided to push the envelope a little because if anyone deserved some consolation, it was him.
“What're you gonna do for me?” He asked the janitor, his tone less than kind.
“Be… nice… now,” Matt warned, accentuating his demand with more powerful thrusts.
“Fuck you!” Derek spat back, back throbbing, dick weeping pre.
“Tell me you… like it.”
“Like what?” He rolled his eyes.
“Tell me you like being… huge. Tell me you like being packed full of my babies, that you want me to fuck more of ‘em into you, ‘cause you wanna be bigger…” Matt nodded down at him. “Tell me you wanna be so massive, you can barely move…”
Derek groaned. “Jesus! What the fuck is wrong with you, you sick fuck?”
That wasn’t the correct response because Matt stopped thrusting and stood there between his legs at the foot of the bed, cock still buried deep inside, but no longer moving. Derek rolled his eyes and groaned again. Hadn’t he already given this asshole enough?!
Apparently not…
“OK, I like it!: He conceded, hating how needy, no, desperate he sounded, but the truth was, he was. “P-please, just… fuck me! Put more of your babies in me!” He nodded. “I wanna be full to bursting! I want everyone to know and see what you did to me… I wanna be a fucking goddamn whale, OK?!” He groaned.
Matt’s eyes narrowed. “I don’t believe you…”
“I don’t care, now fuck me, you prick!” Derek suddenly shouted. “It feels so damn amazing when you do!” He said, supposing the last part was actually true, at least sexually speaking.
His libido was truly out of control. Pretty much everything else was a damn shit show or well on its way to becoming one, but at least his orgasms had reached new, delectable heights. As such, Derek was willing to pretend he was happy and wanted more if it meant Matt kept going.
But would he? Of course, he would…
But only after a few more excruciatingly long seconds did he finally continue. Matt pulled his mighty cock almost all the way out, leaving just its fat tip inside Derek before continuing to do what he did best: fuck him thoroughly.
*****
The following morning, Derek found himself smiling as he dressed. Matt's most recent home visit had been just what he'd needed.
It'd also been different…
After fucking him for the third time, Derek assumed he'd leave like he always had whenever they were finally done, but not this time. This time, after the hulking janitor pulled out, he ruled over and away and promptly fell asleep in his bed.
While unexpected, and even though they spent the majority of the night back to back, it'd been nice to literally sleep with someone again. Someone other than the babies residing in Derek's womb, that is…
But as he started to button his shirt, Derek's smile faded and a big frown quickly took its place. The shirt he'd laid out the night before, between fuckings, the one he'd yet to even wear once, which was a size up from the one he'd worn the previous day, was already tight. He looked from his belly to his reflection in the mirror.
“What the hell?” Derek whispered to himself as his frown deepened.
Yes, he was obviously getting bigger by the day, but there was no way he'd gone up a whole shirt size overnight?! He couldn't have! The new shirt must've been mislabeled, that was it. It had to be… There was simply no other explanation. That sucked, but Derek would make do. He'd send an email to the company complaining about the mistake later and ask for a refund or replacement.
Once he'd buttoned the shirt, Derek scrutinized his reflection some more. He moved his hands to the sides of his swell and frowned again. Did his belly look and feel somewhat significantly bigger than it had just yesterday?
He got distracted when he heard noise coming from the kitchen. The blender running, to be precise. Till then, Derek had assumed Matt had left after he woke, but apparently not.
He left his room and headed for the kitchen. As he made his way, he did his best to not totter along like a damn cow. When he entered, Matt was standing with his back to him. The counter he faced was littered with groceries Derek hadn't purchased, including a large tub of vanilla ice cream.
The thirty-three year old quickly put two and two together: the blender being on and the ice cream equated to Matt making him one of his famous, cravable shakes. Though his shirt was already getting pretty uncomfortable, Derek smirked as he tottered over to the island and leaned back against it to wait.
As he did, he took stock of what else the janitor was working with. There was butter, sugar, eggs and heavy cream, all of which he easily associated with the sweet and delicious concoction. What Derek didn't associate with it were all the bottles of pills…
Big ones and small ones. Some looked like supplements one would buy over-the-counter, while others appeared to be prescription. Derek furrowed his thick brows as he went back to frowning again.
“Mornin, boss,” Matt said over his shoulder.
Derek was surprised his presence had been noticed since he hadn't announced it. But then he realized his slightly labored breathing and as of late, heavier steps, had probably done so for him.
“Morning,” he replied.
“Thought you'd enjoy startin’ your day off with a little shake,” Matt said as he worked, pouring most of the shake from the blender into one of Derek's large, two-pint beer stains. “You're probably in need of some extra, extra calories after last night, huh?” He chuckled, mostly to himself.
“I did work up an appetite,” Derek admitted before he could stop himself. “And you know I love your shakes, but what's with all the pills?” He asked.
Matt didn't answer as already smirking, he turned around and attempted to hand over the glass he'd just filled to the brim. Even though he was already practically salivating, Derek shook his head and refused to take it.
“I'm not drinking that till I know what you put in it.”
Same as he was, Matt switched over to frowning, looking very much like his usual, brooding self. “You want me to give away my secret recipe?”
“Yes!”
“Not gonna happen,” he shook his head. “All you need to know is that I use the finest ingredients,” he said as he looked the pregnant VP up and down, noting of course how tight his new shirt was, but he kept that to himself for the time being.
“I don't care how fine your ingredients are!” Derek snapped. “If I don't know what they are!” He nodded towards the bottles of pills on the counter. “I'm not drinking that!” He said as he pushed the glass away.
All of a sudden, the bigger (in the more traditional and less pregnant sense) man reached his shake-free hand down and out. He yanked Derek’s fly down and worked his large hand into his underwear. As soon as it was in, he took a firm hold of the semi the executive was already rocking for some reason unknown to him. As Matt gave his dick a gentle squeeze, Derek instantly lost his breath and his back arched, thrusting his belly even further out than it already stuck on its own.
“Yes, you fucking will,” Matt informed as he slowly but purposely moved the brimming glass forward till it was right in front of Derek’s mouth.
And just like that, he did. Derek drank the entire shake, rapidly filling his stomach, causing it to ache before he even realized what he’d just done.
“See, I told you!” The cock janitor smirked. “Good job!” He condescendingly commended as he took the emptied glass and turned back to the counter to fill it again. “Now for another one..”
Derek released an indignant huff as he reached out and grabbed the back of the other man’s shirt. As he did, he wished he wasn’t wearing it so he could see all those muscles.
“Not until you fuck me again!” He boldly demanded.
The sexy maintenance worker chuckled as he turned back around, refilled stein in hand. “My big baby mama needs it again already, huh?”
Derek didn’t bother denying it. “Yes.”
“Yes, what?” Matt raised his brows.
The preggo VP sighed as he rolled his eyes. “Yes, your big baby mama already needs it again, OK?”
“Of course,” Matt nodded, coupling the action with a seemingly genuine smile.
“Yeah?” Derek smiled back in grateful but naive relief.
“Of course,” the janitor nodded again. “Right after you drink this,” he said, holding out the stein again.
Derek groaned as he took it. He raised the stein back to his mouth then tipped it, quickly downing the shake despite how uncomfortable doing so made him, his already full stomach now noisily protesting. While he drank with impressive speed, he went slower than he had while consuming the first. By the time he was finished with the second shake, Derek was gasping for breath as he wiped his mouth on his sleeve, not caring about messing it up since he wasn’t going to be able to wear the shirt to work now anyway.
Smirking again, Matt reached out and tore Derek’s shirt open, sending buttons flying all across the kitchen. Once it was exposed, he patted the front of the exec’s taut, protruding belly. Then, he started to stroke it, fingers sticky from the sugar and cream, yet slick from the butter.
Matt rubbed all around the mound, making a mess of it as Derek sighed and leaned back more heavily against the island. It was a good thing he’d already emptied the blender because uncomfortably full as he now was, he still would’ve downed more shake just to get Matt to keep going and do more, aka, fuck what little sense he retained right out of him again.
The shady, secretive and sadistic maintenance worker, Derek’s subordinate’s, subordinate’s subordinate, circled his bulging navel with his thumb and index finger as he continued to stare and smirk at him.
“Had a lil’ growth spurt last night, huh?” He chuckled. “Was it while I was fucking you the third time, or after?”
More heat rushed to Derek’s already flushed face. He’d been right. He was fucking inflating.
“Look how fucking big you are already!” Matt continued smugly. “How many did I put in you again?”
“Three,” Derek groaned.
“You sure ‘bout that?” Matt raised his brows. “You’re barely two thirds of the way through and, just damn!” He huffed. “Imagine how big you’re gonna be by the end!” He grinned.
Needless to say, Derek did not want to imagine that, but he did so anyway. He wasn’t about to let Matt know that though, so he remained silent. AS much as he wanted/needed even more “attention,” he refused to say anything else demeaning to get it. It would probably suck, but he needed to show some resolve and just wait till Matt went back to doing so on his own, because eventually, he most definitely would, Derek could play games if and when necessary as well.
He was doing fine till Matt leaned in and down, pushed his shirt further to the sides and then took his swollen right nipple into his mouth. As soon as he did, Derek moaned long and loud.
“I sure did a number on you, didn’t I?” Matt said after he’d pulled back, leaving Derek’s chest suddenly feeling unpleasantly unattended. “Though you did help, really takin’t it like a bitch!” He chuckled. “Shit… Barely outta your second trimester and you’re already this huge! Can’t even fit your newest, biggest clothes! Shit you haven’t even had the chance to wear yet. Woof!” He grunted.
“Shut up…” Derek mumbled in embarrassment as he looked down.
But the cocky janitor didn't shut up… He continued his narcissistic diatribe…
“Probably much sooner than you'd care to admit, you won't even be able to fit behind your desk!” He grunted as he shook his head. “Shit… You might not even fit through the damn door by the time my kids are through with you!” He huffed. “Damn VP of a Fortune Five-Hundred company, reduced to breeding and taking it like a bitch in heat! Mmm, mmm, mmm!” He grunted again.
Derek panted as Matt's now very much enviably toned midsection pressed against his increasingly bloated one. He moaned as the other man reached out and touched it, taking his hand from his dick to game and cradle the mound with his calloused hands, like it belonged to him.
In many ways, it did.
“Get ready to grow to the size of a goddamn blimp, boss man,” Matt tauntingly warned. “You're my breeder. My fuckin’ baby factory, got it?”
Refusing to look him in the face, Derek looked down at himself and silently nodded.
*****
Derek had no choice but to admit it: he had fucking tits.
As he sat at his desk, while he should've been looking at his monitor, he looked down at the full B-cups bulging out in front of him. He breathed heavily as he wondered again what the fuck was happening to his body?
Despite the fact he was wearing two undershirts under his dress shirt, his swollen nipples bulged through all three layers of fabric, all erect and achy. Derek hated the way they looked, but even more so, he hated to admit that he found their altered existence terribly arousing…
But he couldn't be seen around the office like that, and he had to be seen outside his own… So he added a fourth layer to the mix before heading in.
Derek pulled on a huge and actually still baggy sweater over what he had on. It was anything but professional looking, but it was all he could manage given the circumstances, not to mention the increasingly unusual dimensions of his rapidly changing and growing body.
As he made his way through the building, he noticed that more people than usual were stopping whatever it was they were doing to look at him as he passed by. When Derek said good morning to one of CorpaCorp's in-house attorney's as he went by her office, she just stared at him eyes wide, without saying anything.
He heard whispers. All of them… All about him, of course. Derek had wanted and intended to be seen, but not like this!
As soon as his office came into sight, he practically dashed towards it. As soon as he was inside, Derek quickly closed the door behind him and locked it, letting out a ragged, long held breath as he dropped his briefcase to the floor and then used both free hands to cup his navel.
He knew for certain by then that he wasn't hiding anything anymore. There were too many changes that'd happened too quickly and obviously, they were only going to keep getting worse. Derek had barely pushed off and away from the door when a fierce and furious pounding sounded on the other side of it.
Once again, he'd beat Tammy in so unfortunately, there was no one there to screen and/or send away any would-be visitors… Once again, Derek had another problem he needed to deal with himself.
“I fucking hear you!” He called out in a forced sing-song tone. “One fucking second, please!” He continued. “I just…”
Before he could finish his tune, the door to his office burst open. Asia did, Derek stood there frozen in place, halfway to his desk, just gawking as Felix Shepherd, one of CorpaCorp's top investors, stormed in, slamming his office door behind him.
As soon as they were “alone,” Felix's eyes shot directly to Derek's abdomen. “What the fuck do you have on?! Take that trash bag off!” He demanded.
The young executive tensed. “If you're referring to my sweater, it was a gift from my grandmother. She may've gotten the sizing a bit…”
“I'm not here for jokes, Carter!” Shepherd needlessly clarified.
“Well if you're not here for jokes or to critique my grandmother's knitting, what can I help you with, Felix?”
The investor thrust the newspaper he was holding at Derek, pushing it against his chest. After taking it in and, along with a couple of steps back, the pregnant man rolled it and looked down to see a picture of himself right there on the front page. While he wasn't the main story, he'd still been deemed front page worthy, looking decidedly pregnant seated in his pew at church the weekend prior.
As he took in the image of himself looking not like the perfect son, but rather a depressed elephant as his hands cradled his huge belly, Derek's face paled.
“I, um…” he began to say.
“Read it!” Felix demanded.
Derek nodded as he headed for his desk, suddenly needing to sit. “Just gimme a…”
“Aloud!!!”
He huffed as he sat, hoping it masked the groan his chair made as he plopped heavily onto it. Derek closed his eyes for a second, drew in a breath and then started reading the story accompanying the image, an op-ed, aloud, as directed.
“Thirty-three year old, CorpaCorp Senior Vice President, Derek Carter was spotted out with his family, looking decidedly pregnant. Though long thought to be a myth, rare occurrences of male pregnancy have been happening around the world in recent years. Though few and far between, according to doctors and researchers, each unnatural pregnancy is the result of anal sexual relations.
Carter, well-known to be conservative in his views and beliefs, has previously been outspoken in his condemnation of gay marriage and other rights. As a devout Catholic, he should probably focus more on being less hypocritical going forward…
The revelation of his conditions raises many questions, one of them being: How long has Carter been covertly engaged in homosexual relations? Another being: What does CorpaCorp think of their “golden boy” being up the duff and finally: who is the other father?
CorpaCorp often flaunts its reputation as a proud family company. It frowns on things like premarital sex and homosexuality. If any one of their executives other than Carter was asked about male pregnancy, they'd likely deny its existence.
All this to say that I expect them to be taking a close look at their executive roster come contract renewal time later this fall.”
Derek dropped the paper to his desk, then his head to his hands. “Shit. Shit, shit, shit!”
“So it’s true?!” Felix shouted as he gave the seated Derek another once over from the other side of his desk. “Of course it is! You look like you swallowed a damn watermelon! Why didn’t you… Didn’t you get it taken care of?!” He huffed.
“Believe me, I wanted to!” Derek huffed back. “But it was a little more complicated than that, OK?” He groaned, feeling his life really starting to crumble around him.
“Well it’s only going to get more complicated from here on out!” Felix shouted. “What was your plan? Were you going to try and hide a whole damn male pregnancy?”
“I didn’t really have a plan,” Derek sheepishly admitted. “I…”
“How no one noticed or said anything sooner is beyond me! You look like you’re about to blow!” The investor shouted again. “What about after you have the baby, what then? Are you going to be asking for maternity leave?!”
“I’ll be asking for paternity leave,” Derek corrected. “And it’s babies… Triplets. Lucky me, huh?” He grunted.
“Jesus Christ, Carter!”
“And I haven’t exactly figured it out yet, but I’m not going to be hiding them once they’re here,” he shook his head. “I just… I dunno?” He shrugged in defeat.
“
"Babies," the VP corrected him. "Triplets. Lucky me, huh?" He grunted.
“Triplets? Is that even possible?!”
“Obviously, and no…" he shook his head. "I wasn't planning on hiding my condition or my children, I was just trying to figure out how and when I was going to…"
“This is bad! All of it!”
“Obviously, I’m aware of that, Felix, OK?”
“No, not OK! Far from it!” Felix yelled, face reddening. “We have to get in front of this before it gets any more out of control! Any ideas as to how we might be able to do that?” He asked as he rolled his eyes.
Derek knew what he had to do now that his not so little secret was just about out. He hated that it was but also couldn't believe it'd taken this long… Now, the full might of CorpaCorp was going to come crashing down on him unless he made things as right as he possibly could and fast.
“We need to schedule a press conference,” he said quietly, feeling sick.
*****
He and Felix arranged a conference for later that afternoon. The CorpaCorp press room was swarming with reporters, all rabid for something sure to be hot, juicy and controversial. It'd been some time since something even remotely as salacious as this had rocked the business world…
Even though he'd stood behind it countless times, it took Derek almost twenty minutes to convince himself to go stand behind the podium. As he made he was, he was blinded by camera flashes, which captured his pregnant from from every possible angle.
The baggy sweater was gone. Now he was wearing a fitted button down and freshly pressed trousers that showed off everything from his annoyingly perky B-cups and huge belly, to his bloated ass. Derek tried his best to hide what he could of himself behind the podium.
“Thank you all for coming on such short notice,” he started, forcing himself to smile as his heart threatened to jump up and out of his throat.
Doing so wasn't going to be easy, but he had to get through this. His professional life depended on it.
“I understand many of you have questions following the publication of the op-ed this morning,” he continued. “I intend to answer as many of them as I can but first, I'd like to apprise you of my condition.” He paused for a few seconds. “Yes, I am pregnant,” he finally confirmed.
The press room filled with more flashes and clicks.
“My intent was to keep this a private matter as I worried if it got out, it would become a bit of a distraction, which obviously it has,” he chuckled. “I'm not afraid to admit I was wrong. Even if it's a little late, I'm actually proud to go public so that others can not only see the realities of a male pregnancy, but the miracle of one as well. Honestly, I couldn't be any happier,” Derek concluded with a forced smile, trying not to gag on all he'd just said. “Now I'll take a few questions,” he nodded.
The room positively erupted. Every person who wasn't holding a camera stuck up their hand and waved it, shouting over one another, trying desperately to get Derek's attention.
“Mr. Carter! Mr. Carter!”
“Derek! Derek! Over here!”
“I'll start with you,” Derek pointed to a reporter in the first row.
“Paul Schmidt, NZK News,” the reporter introduced himself. “Can you tell us how this happened, Mr. Carter?”
Derek felt himself blush. Mostly hidden behind the podium, his belly suddenly heaved as his insides lurched, causing him to rub it despite not wanting to. He let out a dry chuckle.
“I hate to be the one to break it to you, Paul, but there's only one way for it to have happened,” Derek replied with a wag of his brows, earning himself a few chuckles. “Yes, you,” he pointed to another reporter.
“Terry Goodwin, World National. Mr. Carter, was this pregnancy planned?”
“I don't think it's possible to plan a male pregnancy,” Derek answered honestly. “The condition, my condition remains so rare, we're still learning things about it. Needless to say, the news came as a bit of a surprise,” he smiled and nodded before raising his gaze and pointing to the back of the room. “You, there. Yes…”
“Trent Gibbs, Business Now… Mr. Carter, does this announcement mean you're officially out of the closet?”
“Who said I was ever in it?”
“You never said you weren't…”
“I shouldn't have had to,” Derek said, his voice hardening some. “But yes…” he continued, forcing himself to smile again. “You can consider me officially out now.”
Wonderful… Another feather to add to his already well-decorated cap.
“How far along are you?” A reporter yet to be called on shouted out.
“That's between my doctor and I,” he replied as he held his hand up. “That's all the time I have today,” he said, creating another uproar. “Thank you again for coming. CorpaCorp has some exciting product launches coming up, so be sure to keep an eye out for announcements,” he concluded with a wave as he stepped back from the podium and headed off stage.
Once again, he was assaulted by flashes as the cameras captured shots of his now confirmed pregnant profile. As he headed back to his office, Derek avoided the gazes of his colleagues, most of whom stopped what they were doing as he lumbered by.
*****
Derek and his pregnancy were the hot topic for the next several days. As it happened, a few more scandals rocked the business world, but not even a CEO getting caught skimming millions off client accounts and fleeing the country got people to stop talking about him.
Reporters camped outside the building, hounding Derek with questions every time he came or left. Since there was no longer any point, he stopped trying to hide his bulges. Now, he posed as a happy and proud daddy-to-be, rather than the mutant pariah he considered himself.
Even though he hadn't given any additional comments, he was all over the TV. Pundits relentlessly criticized him for his blatant hypocrisy. People gathered and held signs up outside of CorpaCorp, demanding Derek step down and/or calling him out for being a gay homophobe/hypocrite.
Pretty much no one seemed happy with him. Needless to say, that didn't bode well for his upcoming contract negotiation… The press conference had been a start, but now, Derek needed to go into full-on damage control mode.
Too bad he was too overwhelmed and exhausted to make any real effort.
It did nothing to help how tired he was, but Derek started getting into work a couple hours early to try and avoid the circus he'd created. One such morning as he heaved himself out of the car, he was particularly grateful no one else was around to see him clutch the underside of his belly or hear the loud groan he let out.
He felt like he was getting notably heavier by the day, probably because he was.
Again, Derek was glad no one was around to see him waddle towards the elevator as he tried to mentally psych himself up to get through another day. As he did, he thought he heard something behind him. He turned to look over his shoulder when all of a sudden, he was shoved so hard from behind he had the wind knocked out of him as he ended up pressed up hard against the nearby wall.
A hand reached out and roughly groped his belly. Derek looked back and was met by the gaze of a disheveled man he'd never seen before, who had a crazed look in his eyes. From what he could see, the guy was slim and about his height. Had it not been for the babies exploding off his torso, Derek would've easily been able to put up a fight. A good one even, but not now.
“Well whaddaya know…” the stranger said slowly. “It is real!” He confirmed to himself as his mouth curled into a deranged grin.
He pressed himself against Derek as he reached into the expectant man's waistband and yanked his shirt from it. After grabbing a good handful, the stranger pulled, sending most of the shirt's buttons ricocheting off the wall. Once he'd bared a good deal of flesh, he replanted his hand against the bare, taut and smooth swell.
“You're positively fucking stuffed!” He said against Derek's ear. “Up top, too!” He said as he moved his hand up, grabbed his left breast and gave it a hard squeeze.
“Nnngh!” Derek grunted. “Just tell me what you want and you can have it! I have money! Lots of…”
Before he could finish his offer, the stranger stopped squeezing and Derek let out a sigh of relief.
His relief lasted only as long as the man's hand disappeared from view. When it returned a moment later, it was holding something long and shiny. A knife, which he pressed against the closest side of Derek's pregnancy.
“I don't want your money,” he informed, shaking his head. “I just wanted to know if this whole male pregnancy thing was real or not… Thought it was a hoax, but I guess I was wrong? You actually have a baby in there, don't you?” He asked as he lightly pressed the tip against Derek's belly.
“B-ba-babies!” He stammered, having quickly reached the point of near hysteria. “M-mu-multiples! See, they're moving!” He said as he pulled at his ruined shirt, fully exposing the side of his belly, where (more than) a flutter of movement was visible just beneath his skin.
“How'd they get in there?”
“I had sex!” Derek yelled. “With a man! Lots of it!” He frantically nodded. “I bent over and took it again and again and now, I'm really fucking pregnant!”
“Why the fuck would you go and do that? You some kinda perv?” The crazy stranger asked. “Some sorta freak?”
Being gay didn't make Derek a perv, but his pregnancy most definitely made him a freak. Should he tell the guy that? Was that what he wanted to hear? Probably.
All of a sudden there was a loud roar and a flash of moment, which thankfully didn't involve the knife. Before Derek knew what was happening, his assailant was being tackled to the ground.
He quickly turned around and backed away. As he continued to move away, he watched in shock as the crazy guy and a security guard struggled on the floor of the garage . After a couple seconds, the guard managed to knock the knife away and get the guy pinned to his chest with his arms pulled behind him.
“You OK… Mr. Carter?” The guard panted as he looked up and back at him.
Derek couldn't speak. He tried to pull his shirt closed but he couldn't seem to get his hands to move. He barely managed a small nod as three other security guards descended on the scene.
*****
“I'm happy to report that no physical harm came to you or any of the babies,” Dr. Porter said.
Derek had driven himself straight to his office following the alarming altercation in the garage. He might not've wanted the babies inside him, but that didn't mean he wanted any harm to come to them. It wasn't their fault they existed, after all…
“Good,” Derek exhaled as he fidgeted on the bed. “Are we done?” He asked, not taking his eyes from his phone.
News of the attack had already broken. Once again, even though he hadn't meant to, Derek had drawn more attention to himself.
“Not quite,” Porter replied as he wheeled his stool over to the side of the bed and sat down. “While it's very fortunate nothing happened to any of you physically,” he emphasized again. “I think it would be a good idea for you to speak with a therapist or a counselor,” he suggested. “After experiencing something like…”
“I'm fine,” Derek interrupted, still not looking up from his phone, even though he wasn't really looking at what was on the screen.
He didn't need a recap. He'd lived it, which made him not fine, but he wasn't about to tell Porter that. Now that he knew he and the babies were fine, Derek just wanted to get out of there and try to act like this morning hadn't happened.
“Right…” Porter said slowly. “Well, if you change your mind, just call and I'd be happy to refer you to a…”
“Thank you,” Derek cut in again. “Now are we finished?” He asked. He didn't wait for an answer before starting to work himself off the bed.
“Not quite,” his doctor repeated. “There's one more thing we need to discuss…”
His thirty-three year old patient exhaled again, this time in annoyance. “Yes?” He asked, finally lifting his gaze from his phone and looking at the other man he'd been avoiding eye contact with.
Porter also exhaled before responding. His sounded slightly anxious…
“I'm not quite sure how this is possible, but I checked twice to make sure, and well…” he paused. “The sonogram I just performed revealed a…” he paused again. “A fourth baby.”
“What?!”
“I'm not sure how I missed something like that, but I'm certain,” Porter nodded. “My only explanation is that the fourth was hiding behind the others during the previous scans?” He shrugged.
“What?!” Derek said again, his mind suddenly reeling out of control for the second time that morning.
A fourth baby?! Three had already been too damn many! Knowing he was pregnant with triplets had been impossibly overwhelming, to the point he oftentimes still didn't believe it!
And now he was being told he was pregnant with four babies. Quadruplets… Derek grabbed onto the sides of the bed and forced himself to swallow hard against his sudden bout of nausea.
“I realize between the attack and this, um… development, you've been through a lot today,” Dr. Porter continued. “But we also need to discuss your diet.”
“What about it?” Derek asked as he stared at the ceiling.
“As I'm sure you recall, previously, there was the issue of you being underweight,” the doctor reminded. “But now, well… The fetuses, even though we now know there's four of them, well they're all quite large.”
The thirty-three year old grunted. “I could've told you that and I don't have any medical training!”
“Well thanks to your condition and our visits, you now have more than you had when we met!” Porter pointed out with a chuckle, hoping it would brighten his patient's mood a little.
It didn't. Derek remained silent, waiting for what his specialist doctor would say next, already knowing he wasn't going to like it.
“You need to cut back on your intake. Significantly,” Porter nodded, even though Derek wasn't looking at him. “Especially of fattening foods,” he further emphasized. “If you and/or the babies gain too much weight, it could not only lead to a difficult labor and delivery, but other complications as well.”
“Difficult labor and delivery?” Derek frowned as he finally lowered his gaze and looked at the doctor again. “For who, you?” He huffed. “Are you telling me that more and bigger babies is gonna make your job harder?”
Dr. Porter frowned. “Yes, I suppose that will make my duties a little more difficult to perform, but…”
“No offense, Doc, but I honestly don't care if it makes it harder for you to perform a c-section! That's your job! I…”
“A c-section?” Porter was the one to interrupt this time. “Derek… There's yet to have been a cesarean performed on a male that was successful,” he shook his head. “The male anatomy is just different enough from that of a female that unfortunately, medicine hasn't caught up yet. However… men have proven themselves to be quite capable of giving birth naturally, so…”
“Naturally?!” Derek scoffed. “What does that even mean?! Male pregnancy isn't natural, so don't give me that bullshit!” He rolled his eyes.
“How would I even…”
“Right now, during your final trimester, your body is developing a birth canal that will soon, relatively speaking, lead to your anus.”
Derek was stunned. Stupefied, or so he initially thought, but maybe not? Maybe, his now confirmed to be particularly ludicrous pregnancy was somehow also affecting his hearing? It must've been because he couldn't have heard Dr. Porter correctly…
He wasn't going to give birth “naturally!” He was going to have a c-section just like he'd been planning this whole time!
“I am not pushing four babies out of my…” he started to inform the doctor, but wasn't able to finish.
The thought was too ludicrous. Too insane, really…
“You're going to have to if you want to live,” Porter nodded at him.
“Why?!” Derek shouted. “Why can't I have the c-section I've been planning on?!”
The doctor scoffed. “I'm not sure why you were!”
“Why not?!” He shouted again.
Dr. Porter narrowed his eyes. “Were you seriously not aware that…”
“That what?!” Derek bellowed.
“Oh my…” Porter exhaled, eyes widening again. “You really weren't,” he sighed as he shook his head. “To my knowledge, and if anyone around here would know, it's me,” he paused for a moment. “There have been nine attempts at performing a cesarean on a male and none of them survived,” he shook his head some more.
“That's not true…” the thirty-three year old said as he shook his head back in disbelief.
“Unfortunately, it is,” the specialist nodded. “And only two babies survived. We don't know why yet, but anyway…” he went back to shaking. “A c-section is off the table if you want to continue working with me, which I suggest you do, because I do know what I'm doing, and you're very unique, Derek,” he returned to nodding. “I literally won't risk it and I strongly advise you that don't either,” he went back to shaking. “You want to live, don't you?”
Did Derek want to die? No. Yes, his life was close to being in shambles, but no, he didn't want to die, not until he found out he was facing the indignation of pushing FOUR babies out of his ass! Yes, Matt had taunted him about it, but he hadn't believed him! The asshole was insane, but apparently, not a liar…
But no, he didn't want to die, though he probably REALLY would while he was giving birth (four times) the way he just found out he was going to have to if he wanted to live. He'd probably want to die after too, when he'd most likely be left bed-bound and forced to wear diapers for the rest of his life after his asshole had been ANNIHILATED!
“So what's it going to be, Derek?” Porter asked in his usual, otherwise would-be calming tone. “I know of a couple other doctors who might be willing to…”
“No,” Derek cut in.
“No c-section?” He quickly clarified.
“No c-section,” Derek begrudgingly confirmed.
Porter sighed. “I'm glad to hear you say that.”
“At least one of us is…”
He offered his troubled patient the most genuine smile he could, even as he went on to continue to deliver some less than stellar news…
“You certainly have your work cut out for you,” he nodded. “Whether you want to be or not, you're going to be the first known man to successfully,” he preemptively stressed. “Give birth to more than two babies, which isn't going to be easy,” he shook his head.
“Lucky me…” Derek groaned as he rolled his eyes.
“I believe in you,” Dr. Porter smiled as he reached out and rubbed his still bared belly. “Now it's time for you to believe in yourself!”
“Right…”
“I think that's enough for today,” he finally realized.
“You think?” Derek huffed.
“In the coming weeks, we'll discuss various birth plans and I'll probably put you on some various medications to help keep your energy levels up and your body stable during the labor and delivery process,” Porter said as he stood. “But in the meantime… It's important we keep the babies at a manageable size.”
The quadruplet-carrying executive grunted. “Pretty sure we already passed that point!”
“We're close, but the good news is we're not there quite yet,” the specialist smiled down at him. “Next time I see you, we'll also discuss ways to help you stretch and loosen up.”
“Oh joy…”
He chuckled. “Don't worry about next time,” he shook his head. “Just focus on right now and the meantime,” he nodded. “I understand you have a lot on your proverbial plate right now, just try to keep too much food off your literal one, OK?”
“Don't… worry, Doc,” Derek grunted as he awkwardly turned and pushed himself off the bed and back onto his feet. “You don't have to tell or ask me not to get ANY bigger!” He huffed as he tore off his paper gown and waddled over to the chair where he'd deposited his ruined shirt and other clothes.
