Life Update
🕑 Added 2024-08-21 23:53:02 +0000 UTCHello everyone,
The last week anf a half have been a bit of blur. I had my birthday (go me) and then I found out that my best friend's brother attempted to take his life on the same day, August 10th.
Last Thursday, he was taken off life support and became an organ donor. I knew him since he was nine years old. He was like a little brother to me. I am devastated.
This is my first time dealing with suicide on a somewhat personal level. He was not someone I ever expected to feel the need to do what he did, but I've come to learn it rarely ever is.
I'm doing better than I initially was, but I'm not myself. I feel empty and sad as arrangements have yet to be determined or announced.
I also feel terrible for my best friend and his family. Not looking for anything personally, but if you pray, meditate, whatever, and wanna send some good vibes a stranger's way, please do so for those involved.
All this to say that I'm not feeling the most creative at the moment. I continue to work on things but writing isn't bringing me the pleasure it usually does. It feels weird to be writing what equates to smut when life suddenly just feels all wrong.
I have parts 6 and 7 of The Janitor done and ready to post. I planned on spacing them out more, but they're all I have ready to go at the moment, so unless inspiration hits, they'll be what I post next (part 6 immediately following this post).
I have other continuations in the works as well as a new concept I am very excited for: a series, each installment based on an image by @fulleclipsehex (on IG) with almost every installment being a (very) short story, almost a caption, if you will. There will be the occasional longer (but still short) piece here and there, such as the introduction, but overall, I feel this will allow me to post more content regularly, so stay tuned. I think you'll all enjoy.
In the meantime, please bear with me. I appreciate it.
That, and just be kind to one another. Check in on people you take for granted. You never know what others are actually going through.
