Water structuring — fact or fiction + MRET water studies and potential benefits
🕑 Added 2024-06-11 22:29:57 +0000 UTCMRET water was invented by Dr. Igor J. Smirnov, a Russian scientist who conducted research in the field of biophysics and biochemistry related to water and its structure. The technology behind MRET water was developed as a result of studying the effects of electromagnetic fields on biological systems and water
The connection to Chernobyl in relation to MRET water is not directly related to its discovery like many have claimed. I’m sure everyone has heard the eye rolling story of the ‘people in Chernobyl that drank this magic water and never got cancer’ lol. I think a lot of these stories initially turned people away from the idea and plausibility of MRET. It doesn’t help that there’s a lot of conflicting information out there on what ‘structured’ water actually is. For today, we’ll stick with MRET because there’s a lot of direction to go in with this topic. It wasn’t until I read the ‘Biophysics of Activated Water’ that I began to dive back into the plausibility of the idea.
After the Chernobyl nuclear disaster in 1986, Dr. Igor Smirnov and his team were involved in research efforts to develop technologies that could help mitigate the effects of radiation exposure and improve the health of those affected by the disaster. This research eventually led to the development of MRET technology, including MRET water. One thing I’ve always loved about the Russians is their interest and Imaginative drive towards tackling problems head first.
MRET water is believed to have properties that can help protect against the effects of electromagnetic radiation, promote cellular health and redox homeostasis, and support the immune system. via creating water that is ‘coherent’ or ‘structured’ and ‘easier to use’ by the body.
MRET findings and research
Some of the experiments on MRET water were particularly interesting even thought a lot of them were in animal models. One study showed that consumption of MRET water led to the significant inhibition of tumor growth and suppression of mutated tumor cells. The best results were observed in groups of mice that consumed MRET water activated for 30 minutes, with a significant decrease in the ‘Total Number of Viable Tumor Cells by 76% in the preventive treatment group and 55% in the therapeutic treatment group’. The survival of the mice that consumed MRET water was also monitored, showing an increase in the life span of mice that received it in the ‘preventive treatment’ regime by 61.7% compared to the control group.
The experiments also demonstrated a significant positive effect of MRET activated water on tumor resistance in animals and its anti-tumor effect was comparable to the action of some chemotherapy agents, without the typical side effects of chemotherapy.
Is water structuring bs? (The nerdy science)
The concept of water structuring and the idea that water has a ‘memory’ or can be altered in significant ways by various external influences like magnetic fields, ultrasound, or other periodic coherent influences like light has been a topic of debate for a while .The current mainstream scientific model, which describes water as a collection of H20 molecules with hydrogen bonds forming and breaking rapidly, may not fully explain some of the phenomena observed in experiments related to water structuring
Current model and limitations
The current model emphasizes the transient nature of hydrogen bonds in water. These bonds form and break on the order of picoseconds (10^-12 seconds). This rapid dynamic behavior suggests that any structured state of water would be short-lived and therefore realrively inert in the human body. However, some experiments propose that the existence of quasi-stable clusters or structures demonstrates that can ‘structuring’ can persist longer than this timeframe.
According to Nobel laureate Yuan T. Lee, if water were truly non-structural with weak hydrogen bonds, it would exist as a gas rather than a liquid under standard conditions. This implies that there is some level of structure that maintains water's liquid state, but this structure is not well-understood or easily observed with conventional models.
It’s important to understand that while the basics of hydrogen bonding in water are well understood, the complete complexity and intricacies of water's structure are NOT. Nor are they full explained by conventional models.
Water's anomalous properties have intrigued scientists for a long time. This is important to understand because it provides the backdrop for many of the claims made about structured water. A lot of ‘smart people’ claim water structuring is not possible. But this 1. Depends on what you mean by ‘structuring’ water (there are many definitions wirh terminogly thrown around loosely) and also 2. The current model you’re using to explain the ‘impossibility’ of the phenomina
Experimental observarions
Some experiments have shown that water can be ‘activated’ or structured through various means, including magnetic fields, ultrasound, and temperature changes. These processes could theoretically induce the formation of quasi-stable clusters or alter the hydrogen-bond network in ways that are not fully captured by the continuous model. This is the idea behind MRET water.
The idea that water molecules can form clusters, each consisting of several reciprocally arranged frames, suggests a more complex and possibly more stable structure than what is described by our current model. These clusters could be responsible for some of the reported changes in water’s properties when exposed to these weak magnetic fields.
Strong periodic magnetic fields and other influences can cause changes in the energy states of water molecules. These changes can alter the distribution of water molecules within clusters and affect the overall properties of water, such as its capacity to tunnel through potential barriers.
The concept of water molecules tunneling through non-stationary barriers is a quantum mechanical perspective that might be necessary to fully understand water structuring. This tunneling could be influenced by the periodic or transient coherent influences (magnetic fields), leading to changes in how water behaves on a molecular level.
Do we have evidence of this in humans?
The high thermal stability of the human body ensures that the water within it maintains a constant structure with a specific number of occupied micro-cavities corresponding to the normal body temperature. However, when activated water, which has undergone a structural change through methods such as rapid heating, enters the body, it temporarily disrupts this equilibrium.
‘Activated water,’ (characterized by an excess of amorphous water and vacant micro-cavities within its clathrate frame here), exhibits a lower volume density. This structural alteration can lead to significant physiological effects. For instance, the lower density of this water (influenced by things like heat) can reduce the workload on the heart and other organs. This is past of the reason why I believe PEMF therapy works. We can focus on things like stem cell release and ATP production, but I think water dynamics are equally responsible.
This phenomenon itself challenges our conventional understanding of water structure in the human body. Traditionally, it is believed that water within the body remains relatively static in its structural composition. However, the introduction of ‘activated water’ (through heating changes or other) demonstrates that water's structural dynamics can be manipulated, potentially in beneficial ways
