All Notation - HANDPANUARY 2025
🕑 Added 2025-01-01 12:09:36 +0000 UTCHappy Handpanuary everyone!
This month here on Youtube and Patreon, the format is changing up. No weekly tutorials I'm afraid... instead... DAILY!
I've attached notation here for all 30 days of the handpanuary challenge. Here you will find patterns for the following handpan scales:
D Kurd, E Amara, F Low Pygmy, C# Pygmy and E Sabye. Each pattern is named and has a corresponding YouTube video (which if you're browsing at the beginning of the month won't all be uploaded yet).
So, find the scale the matches yours (if you have a Celtic, choose Amara. Ashakiran, choose Sabye. Annaziska, choose Kurd. If you have none from the list, I recommend starting with the Kurd patterns) and keep an eye out over the coming days for tutorials that suit your scale and match those in the booklets.
Of course, you can also translate any of these patterns to any scale with a little bit of creativity. So I totally invite you to explore all of these PDFs.
Have fun, take it slow, remember you don't have to master EVERY pattern, feel free to ask questions, and if you want to be in community... join us on WhatsApp!
I HIGHLY recommend you connect there, as you will be able to receive quick support and inspiration from your fellow handpanuary friends.

Hi Christina, I'm glad you enjoyed today's video! I write the position numbers rather than the note names because I want the notation to also be accessible to people who don't have the same scale, since I cannot cover every scale in the videos. The notation should all be accurate, except for in this pattern, in the final bar, on beat one there is a O (ding strike) where there should be 1 and 4 like the previous bar. If you join us over on WhatsApp, you'll be the first to hear if any further mistakes are noted. Hopefully there won't be any 😜 Here's the WhatsApp group: https://chat.whatsapp.com/F0XTVNTQktdLSoyMIu5vMi

Dear Amy, I just watched this beautiful Easy Tension Vid and looked here for the notation. But why don't you just write the notes? I have a D minor handpan but the notes are other places than the D Kurd.
