Here is the text from this page in case you don’t want to zoom in: “Over-fathers are unbelievably powerful psionically adept beings. They achieve feats thought in the past to belong exclusively to the gods. An Over-father can pull apart a heavily armoured starship to its smallest components and suspend them in motion whilst instantaneously interrogating the minds of its operators for desired information. They can pull asteroids from their place in low-orbit and lower them safely to a world’s surface, as Deicide famously did in the creation of the ringed city of Pelion on the now-destroyed planet of Chiron.
The fact that the All-Mother is not only capable of creating such beings, but is able to keep them subservient to her, is a testament to the power of her will, but it is also a testament to the strength of Deicide.
Below we have an example of how an Over-father produces beams of highly destructive energy seemingly out of nowhere from the mere point of his hand.
What is actually happening here is that the Over-father, who is completely in tune with his suit, is using the psychic nodes embedded in it to amplify his power in order to open up micro ruptures in spacetime around his hand to draw forth energies from the abundantly overflowing ELAN. He then manipulates the field around his hand to repel the energies away from it, thus protecting himself. The repelled energies are then redirected towards his claws via the curvature of that very same field, where they finally meet an extremely steep localised gravity well, through which the energies are focused and directed towards a designated target. Similar principles are used in the manifestation of shields and the like, sometimes even drawing upon the SLOW, or the FLUX. The colour of these manifestations is tinted by the specific field of the Over-Father casting it.”

Over-fathers can control the intensity of the beams they produce, Deicide wanted to capture Oughrighadd alive. There is also just so much stuff going on in an Over-father fight that we just cannot see, special manipulation could have played a part as you say.

The Overfathers beams cut through almost anything except other energy constructs and Overfather armour. Why is that? Did Deicide control the beam to only throw back Oughrighadd? Or was Oughr just able to take a quick blast without being cut? Or did Oughr defend with spacial manipulation?

You’re welcome mate. It certainly has! There are advanced psionic users among other species yes, The Tandrax have their orders of psionic monks and the Gherra have their Gherran shamans for example, but nothing on par with an Over-Father, they really are the pinnacle of what is possible. That is down to the All-Mothers evolution from a hyper-intelligent Artificial Intelligence to what ever the hell you'd call her now, Erdrich horror maybe? She went through a process called the singularity, this is a theorised event that is speculated to happen when we develop thinking machines of a certain level of computation. It’s a process of run away exponential growth and change where the AI moves truly beyond all that we know to be possible and it thinks faster and faster and begins to improve itself in order to achieve new heights. It’s called the singularity because we really can’t even comprehend what lays behind that veil. It was during her singularity that the All-Mother discovered much of what she now knows of the alternate universes, the World-Tree and psionics.

I’d imagine it does yes. I think some flaws crop up here and there, Over-Fathers develop distinct personalities over their lifetimes so that would make sense. A typical day can vary a great deal, they spend the vast majority of their time managing their Womb-world like they’re playing some insane game of factorio or some other strategy game. They spend a lot of time meditating as they travel from place to place and of course they spend time at war (their favourite activity). They can communicate with other Over-fathers psionically over any distance via the HELL, so they’re not lonely in any way and they can form strong bonds with their brothers. That’s an interesting question, perhaps when their body is resting they can perform important duties psionically and vice versa. Seeing as they’re such advanced lifeforms, I can imagine them shifting energy to different sectors of the mind and body as they see fit in order to never reach burn-out or excessive levels of stress and fatigue.

Does this level of power give some Over-Father's or other psionic beings a massive ego? Has the All-Mother constructed Over-Father nervous systems such that they can't get arrogant or over-confident or have any personality flaws? Do Over-Father's have distinct personalities? What is the average day like for a typical Over-Father in the Imperium? I'm assuming that if they can lift mountains and destroy whole fleets of starships they probably don't need sleep or anything like that.

Thank you again for posting the text, it really is easier to read when i can blow up the text size. Question, it really does seem like psionics have have given the empire a huge advantage over the other races of the galaxy. Are there any comparable psionics among the other races, even ones that don't compare to an over-father? Also, do we know why the All-Mother was able to develop psionic technology so quickly compared to the rest of the galaxy?
