The only two planes the other species really interact with and can use in any way is the FLUX and the SLOW, the rest are all a little too beyond them.

Thanks so much Henrik! Those are all great suggestions, I’ll see what I can do. I’ll definitely try to fit more alien stuff in there. I am planning a prequel comic yes, but that’ll be set during the run up to the Human-Conglomerate war before the All-mothers activation. Aye I plan on doing that soon, Christmas has just thrown a spanner in the works as I’m away from the office now for a couple of days, but when I get back I’ll get that PDF made and in the folder with the rest. Like others have said, this lore and worldbuilding is amazing. I like that there's many of these parallel universes and not just one or two. I would most like to see some panels about the Imperium's (and deicide's) bio-technology, like their womb-worlds and their ships, the leviathan, kraken and so on, whatever the others were called. I love their designs! I would also like to see some of the alien species expanded upon. I like the images of their home worlds and I would like to see more like that, specifically those of the pekt and the breimheinians. Maybe you're planning to do so with the prequel comic? And now that issue 9 is complete, maybe you could add it to the downloads? And merry christmas of course!

Thanks mate! Nope, It’s not quite like that. Dimensions of space still exist as a separate thing, these are alternative universes that exist parallel to ours. I really need to get round to reading the 3 body problem, I hear people referencing it all the time. Haha that’s an interesting theory though!

Deep explanations make your lore compelling! So, these different planes sound like they are layered like how a hypercube maps onto our 3D space. Like the möbius strip explanation of hyperspace “travel” right? But not quiet since the “lower” ones aren’t 2d and 1d ha ha. Reminds me a little of “The 3 Body Problem” with it’s multidimensional creatures descending and animating. Maybe the All Mother will get some higher cosmic justice (if Elan and Vana beasts care;)

Makes sense to me! So if the other species know about these universes, does that mean they've been to them, or can they locate them without having the physically go there? Id assume it would be more difficult to go to universes higher or lower on the scale

Haha I’m glad this is your cup of tea. Like I said, world building is my favourite part 😁 Ah yes, I’ll be getting to that next. The idea was that these nine universes are the only ones that the species of the Orion arm are able to confirm exist, it is hypothetically possible that there are more in the way that you say, but yes, It'll be kept somewhat vague so as not to complicate the model too much. Thanks so much, I’m excited to show that part off too.

In reply to Maeve: That would be because I modelled this nine layered transuniversal stack on the nine realms of Germanic mythology, and the naming convention was four letters for each name, so Hel became HELL in the process. For example: * Asgard – Aese * Alfheim – Ljos * Vanaheim – Vana * Muspelheim – Elan * Jotunheim – Flux * Midgard – Real * Niflheim – Slow * Svartalfheim – Nero * Hel – Hell

Some species certainly believe that to be the case in universe and there’s no real knowing whether they’re right or wrong because these universes are completely cut off from us due to radically differing physical constants. Beings from the real simply cannot enter either the AESE or the HELL, not while maintaining their physical forms anyway. I designed the nine realms roughly based on the Germanic mythological tradition of which Norse mythology is a part. For example, here are the realms with their counterparts below: * Asgard – Aese * Alfheim – Ljos * Vanaheim – Vana * Muspelheim – Elan * Jotunheim – Flux * Midgard – Real * Niflheim – Slow * Svartalfheim – Nero * Hel – Hell

I really like fiction that creates a system of physics that explains what's happening in the story. Do you think you could give examples of each universe being used in technology to accomplish various tasks? An example would be the slow being used to make force fields and the Flux being used for travel and energy generation?

hell yeah!!! this is some juicy worldbuilding! like the other commentors im really curious about how the extended version of this "hierarchy" works. are there universes above or below? are there other "stacks" or even different structures of universes altogether who follow a secondary set of rules that determine the set of rules of its constituent universes? a sort of multiverse of multiverses? or would this perhaps be kept vague by the limited discoveries of the sophonts of humanity lost? either way, super excited to learn about the others!! as well as to get to see how psionics work and whether or not theyre tied to transuniversalism

So the universe is layered like a matrioshka doll, denoted by "frequency" or some concept of cosmological "activity". I wonder if theres a wider multiverse beyond "The Stack", cosmologies that follow radically different laws, structures, or are perhaps utter anthema to the standard cosmology found in The Stack.
