Thanks as always Erika! 1) It’s not so much about energy requirement as it is technique, it has to be done just right and the All-mother has the keys to the door so to speak. It requires not only a Womb-world, but also a gene throne and the authorisation of the All-Mother. large amounts of effort and energy are put into the creation of the suit also. 2) their biochemistry has indeed been altered, effectively all imperium bio-vehicles are vacumorphs. That sounds about right to me! 3) As you know, a wormhole is a hole in four dimensional spacetime, to actually open one, you need to open a corresponding one in your desired location at the same time to connect them, this requires the user to have a presence in both point A and point B simultaneously. this is why the Imperium can only open stable wormholes once they have reached a star and established a womb-world there, like laying a railroad. However, wormholes can be created connecting our universe to another in the same relative point in spacetime. The REAL and the FLUX can be bridged fairly easily, what the imperium does is open a temporary tear in spacetime, pop a dedicated wormhole specialised craft through and then open a stable connection between our two universes. Because the FLUX is a smaller universe than our own and doesn’t have the same speed/mass limitations as the REAL, one can reach a neighbouring star much faster that slogging it through the real at relativistic speeds.

It looks amazing!! Why does it take so much energy to create an Over-Father? What type of engines propel Imperium starships? Has the biochemistry of Imperium units been significantly altered to allow them to exist in space? I think the proteins must be hardier and more heat resistant if AM wants her biotech to grow as quickly as the Conglomerate can manufacture stuff, otherwise the waste heat from growth would cook the Imperium unit. By the way how does AM open wormholes?

I love this scene very much. I love the Pect barkeep preparing cocktails while sitting in water, all those arms coming in handy and then you have the two guys sparring as if they were gladiators or mediaeval fighters, both on the forefront and if my eyes haven't failed me, I see someone familiar further back, down the street. I love the blend of familiarity and strangeness, there is a level of relatability despite the otherworldliness: from the busy bar to the elevator infrastructure which reminds me of a construction site and the rundown, dirty and slum-like surroundings. I also love how you incorporated what would've been a plain text box into the page.
