I’ve linked two time-lapses down below so that you can see just how much goes into a two page spread like this one. One thing you’ll probably pick up on is just how much longer the planning phase is compared to both the inking phase and the colouring phase. The planning really does take up the bulk of the work time on any given page, especially when I’m drawing mechanical things like vehicles and trying to work out perspectives. Even more with the color, the breakouts really help with our sense of scale. Little rooms and people! Who said us guys don’t like doll houses… As long as they’re spaceships ha ha😆
