For the alcoholic dad, the easiest way to get help for alcoholism is finding your closest AA meeting. Therapy is great, but AA is free and he will meet a bunch of people who are going through or have gone through exactly what he is. Even if he ultimately decides it isn’t something he wants to stick with thats ok but he will likely get a deeper understanding of himself. I am surprised the boys didn’t bring it up as an option.
