@Eldis, the book you want to read about the historical Jesus is called "Zealot" by Reza Aslan. Bonus points if you want to watch his interviews on fox news, spoiler alert, they don't love that a Muslim wrote a book about the socio historical context of Palestinian jew.

JP is without a doubt the best regular guest. Also, imo he’s onto something with the whole “maybe Jesus was a mushroom” thing. Stav should check out the book “The Immortality Key” by Brian Muraresku there’s a lot of ancient Greek cultural references in the book. It basically claims that Christianity stems from hallucinogenic traditions in the ancient Greek city of Eleusis.
