those are great picks! And hmmm yeah it's a tough question - I've seen people posit that maybe they should do genre categories similar to the Golden Globes and make them genderless, which I think makes sense. It's hard when such different types of films and performances are competing against each other anyways so maybe more rigid on genre and less rigid on gender is the way to go.

Definitely not tuning in due to being European:) Original Screenplay: Pick: The Banshees of Inisherin Prediction: EEAO Adapted Screenplay: Pick: Women talking Prediction: All Quiet On the Western Front Supporting Actress: Pick: Kerry Condon Prediction: Jamie Lee Curtis Best supporting actor: Pick: Barry Keoghan Prediction: Ke Huy Quan Best Actress Pick:Cate Blanchett Prediction: Michelle Yeoh Best Actor: Pick: Colin Farrell Prediction: Austin Butler Best Director: Pick: Martin McDonagh Prediction : Steven Spielberg Best Picture: Pick: Women Talking Prediction: EEAO Also I wondered what you think about the discussion about ending the gendered categories at some point? Because I think it’s very valid that it isn’t ideal how there currently is no real category in which non binary people fit and also that it is kinda silly to make a difference between male and female performances but I also agree that I could very well lead to way less women winning due to the better written characters often being male as most writers and directors are still men
