Chapter 94: Honkai's Secret to Minmaxing
🕑 Added 2025-07-28 13:17:27 +0000 UTC“I knew it’ll turn out like this!”
Never in Tesla’s life did she feel as comfortable as now. Anti-Entropy’s long experience is primarily in espionage. They are experts at lying low and spying on Schicksal’s work.
Their “2013 Latest Anti-Entropy Invasion Manual” is a testament of that.
In short, their modus operandi is to defeat the strong with the weak; to create plans and take down superhuman valkyries and honkai beasts alike.
It is Tesla’s first time seeing an operation end within minutes.
“Thanks, Kiana.”
“Oh…”
After giving Kiana a thumbs up, she stepped inside the submarine and went towards the research base under the sea.
“So that’s how I look like..?”
“...ister Kiana.”
“Oh?”
Her daze was broken by Seele’s voice.
“Ah. Uhm… He is…”
Kiana did not divulge Shi Tian’s disappearance to Bronya and Seele. She even used Shi Tian’s account just to chat with them. She was lucky their meetings did not happen frequently.
“...busy.”
“I see…”
Only an air of awkwardness was left between the two.
*****
The conversation between Kiana and Seele woke me up.
I can’t dilly-dally in this place any longer.
My gaze shifted to Su. He is holding a palm-size jade brick. It has the thickness of a smartphone.
It is the fabled jade slips in immortal cultivation.
The best thing during this year is the accumulation of cultivation-related items. I received sixteen items related to Late Foundation Establishment at the very least.
Once I broke through the Purple Mansion Realm, the six days of wait turned into four days. That was fifty items belonging to the third grade at minimum.
Out of them, I lucked out once and received an item of the late fourth grade. That is the ones used by the Golden Core Realm.
Anyways, one of the items had a late third grade storage ring that contained stacks upon stacks of blank jade slips. Their quality fluctuated from the first to the third grade.
The storage ring has the size of an entire standard hangar in Salt Lake’s Base. The jade slip section consumed a quarter of that space.
If I hadn’t known better, I would have thought it is smuggling jade slips.
Wait.
That might be true.
“Interesting. Medicines can be used like this?”
“That’s the most optimal way to deal with your broken body.” I replied. “Eating the plants… the materials and storing it on you is the best failsafe.”
“While I am not as skilled as others in biology, this should be enough.”
I felt relieved after hearing Su’s confirmation.
Since it is an auxiliary technique with no masteries, Su quickly got it to work. I passed onto him the lowest-level spiritual plants in my possession… which are late second grade.
Fortunately, I managed to dilute its power by fragmenting them into smaller pieces.
After a while, tribulation clouds began to form on the highest point of this bubble world. It formed normally. I thought it would bug out due to the bubble world’s nature. It is merely a copy of the worlds nourished by the tree.
Meaning, it is missing a lot of things.
My vision soon changed. It took a blink to see the strings connected to the cloud. My eyes had truly turned into the [Encompassing Eyes]. It is no longer an external ability.
I can easily read the nature of my targets. I can even predict some possibilities of the future.
It uses my knowledge base to form judgements. Luckily, I happen to know more than ten thousand techniques. That turned it into a broken appraisal skill… or rather, a pair of Mystic Eyes.
I watched Su’s breakthrough closely. The body skill check proved to be troublesome. Su’s body is akin to a broken bucket. It could not properly hold spiritual qi.
If the body cannot adapt to hold spiritual qi, the skill check fails.
The plants’ medicinal effects began to work. They started to affect Su’s body, assisting it to adapt to spiritual qi.
After a lot of twists and turns, he got through it.
The second and third skill checks are done with ease. His strong mental power carried him all the way until the end.
The tribulation cloud’s changes appeared. From its calmness, it turned aggressive. A portion of the cultivator’s aura is messing up the nature of things. It possessed the power of an early Foundation Establishment attack.
Su pulled off something I never saw before.
Just by looking at the thunderstrike, he made it avoid him!
A strong mental power, influenced by honkai energy, followed Su’s will and attacked the thunderstrikes in an intangible way.
His strongest means did not lie on immortal cultivation, but on the honkai.
The Plus One Law…
It’s broken right in front of my eyes.
As long as honkai energy is present, one can break the Plus One Law of immortal cultivation. A proper honkai adaptability increases control over honkai energy. More honkai energy equates to greater control over their power.
With enough honkai adaptability, they can use enough power to destroy Earth, something Kevin has.
This is the secret to honkai’s minmaxing.
Su’s current mental power is sitting at the peak of Foundation Establishment. I believe it’s not his full power, either.
I sensed my physical body. Both spiritual qi and honkai energy are in a state of co-existence. I don’t know as to what level my current honkai adaptability is… but I can tell it is very high.
The continuous forging of honkai energy did not just raise my body cultivation; it also increased my honkai adaptability. This is the most insane part.
Immortal cultivation’s spiritual qi gave the same effect as Bianka’s talent. Her Schariac bloodline allowed her to increase her honkai adaptability by going past the limits each time.
“Metal… Is this how it is?” Su asked loudly.
A golden light is present on his mental power. It has the same effect as the [Sword Heart]’s sword intent. Only, it is mimicked through the metal element.
High Grade Metal Spirit Root.
Su has that talent. It greatly contrasted his peaceful temperament.
“That’s one of cultivation’s perks…”
I habitually went into my teaching state.
*****
A/N: These are the draws. It lucked out on the first one, which moved it to the fourth grade selection. 93 appeared after the 100, hence the late fourth grade.
The sixteen Foundation Establishment draws went like this.
The one hundred turned 96, thus the late third grade.
