I like the third one the most. But great work on this, I really love how it's looking, and I always love the worldbuilding that goes on in your pics

That seems to be the most common idea.
The first one, without the tower competing for attention with the boat.

2 or 3, with a slightly shorter tower.
The tall fortress tower distracts me from the energy of the trifoil. I much prefer the more even skyline

I like #1 the best. It shows off the ruins in the background more and feels like the Trifoil is leaving that place as it is traveling from right to left.

I guess, storywise, if it is about the thing that happens next, then a left to right read makes sense. But if it's about a return to home, or a journey back, the right to left. Or just wait, you're in Australia, strike that, reverse it.

I find the bottom one more interesting because of the eye-catching structures in the background. In the upper one the structures look dull and bland with no real features to stand out.

Second, its brighter and more fresh, other looks like ruins. With it being refurbished, important, and used , port, its should look good and built up.
