Actually I have wondered about how to calculate what the moon phase should be in my paintings. Isnt a moon's phase over a month or so?

I don't want to disturb your work but I noticed a problem in this work: Kahirah's and Male's phases don't match with the position of the Sun. If it's afternoon in this, and in the North pole the Sun moves clockwise and the moons counterclockwise, then in this the moons should be waning crescents. On the other hand, however, the direction from which the moons' surfaces are lit (direction perpendicular to moons' terminator) is alright: the lit sides point diagonally straight at the sun.

Its actually based on Omani fortress ports! It is an ancient structure that has been refurbished and is re-inhabited after the Fall.

Is the fortress ancient (equivalent to Via Appia) or is it more 'modern'?
