Lightbringer Chapter 2, Part 18
🕑 Added 2022-03-06 16:58:01 +0000 UTCAbdiel, as mentioned in a previous post, is a peculiar angel: he does not appear in the official biblical canon, but he does appear in Paradise Lost.
According to Milton's poem, Abdiel is an angel who joins Lucifer's rebellion, but just the night before the first attack, he changes his mind and abandons the cause (provoking ridicule from Lucifer's followers).
During the rebellion he is one of the defending angels who seriously injures Lucifer.
According to the writer Isaac Asimov, Abdiel may be a self-insert of Milton himself in his poem.
As a detail of his design in Lightbringer, his skin shows areas of depigmentation, typical of vitiligo.
