SNOW FORT 1 (ROUGH)
🕑 Added 2024-01-16 22:15:23 +0000 UTCi think this comic is a good start to 2024. bigger and more ambitious. thats the energy i hope to carry this year. i like doing snow themed comics every year. bill watterson makes drawing snow look so easy. maybe i go a little overboard with all the little details in the background, but the snow still makes it simpler by covering most of the page in white. i have shied away from drawing TY's apartment building in the past but i finally went for it this time. i like this design, and now that the hard part of designing is over, i can use this in future comics
there will be more comics in this arc. they will probably be simpler bc they will feature less apartment building and more snow fort, which is much easier to draw. also trying out a new color palette for this year. i wanted to update the color palette last year to make it a little less harsh, but i only did it for the suski pasta comic and i didnt like the way it looked so i shelved it. maybe this year i will experiment more with colors, like i did for the christmas comics
