If we talk Asian in general, the one with the most entries as a songwriter is Savan Kotecha, Indian descent but born and raised in the US. He has gazillions of hits under his belt.
Some of the artists for whom Kotecha has co-written notable songs include:
Lizzo ("2 Be Loved")
Ariana Grande ("Problem", "Break Free", "Love Me Harder", "One Last Time", "Focus", "Into You", "Side to Side", "Bang Bang", "No Tears Left to Cry", "God Is a Woman", "Breathin", "Break Up with Your Girlfriend, I'm Bored")
Katy Perry ("Rise")
Emblem3 ("Chloe (You're the One I Want)")
Westlife ("Obvious", "Amazing", "Us Against the World", "Beautiful in White")
Ellie Goulding ("Love Me like You Do", "On My Mind", "Close to Me")
Jessie J, Ariana Grande, and Nicki Minaj ("Bang Bang")
Shayne Ward ("No U Hang Up", "Breathless")
JLS ("The Club Is Alive")
This is lifted from Wikipedia.
Not much is known about him and I don't know how much of him remains "Indian".
But as I've mentioned, I still don't know where I stand yet on this "Asian" label. Ideally, I don't even have to think about this but I am anticipating that it will just be necessary to have a baseline understanding.
