We made it - Tally Ho is in the Atlantic!

We had a great crew on board, an excellent local canal advisor, and now - for the first time since 1968 - Tally Ho is back in the ocean that she came from.
Her home waters still feel a long way away, and the most challenging part of the trip is definitely still yet to come, but this is without a doubt one of the major milestones of this adventure.
I'm afraid a livestream just wasn't practical, but we have a lot of great footage and I'm excited to make this video - expect to see strong headwinds, torrential rain, many changes of plan, some near misses, extreme turbulence, and a dramatic finale!

Enhorabuena.

Great fun. My passages through "The Canal" are in the top 10 experiences of my sailing life. Long ago, one was allowed to anchor mid-canal and spend the night. It was magical. Do they still allow that for slower craft? We also ended up in locks with SERIOUSLY BIG ships. Watching the bow of a ship near our rig was "exciting" and not in a good way. So glad you all are doing this. Thank you for letting us come along for the ride virtually!

Congrats Leo — let me know about any port-of-call in Boston!

I was bummed that the Canal website only displayed a stock still of the Miraflores locks while billing it as webcam. I eagerly await your next upload.

Wonderful! Congrats to you all! Looks like you have a small audience watching you from atop that small boat ahead of you.
