BE:LIFT Video On Min Heejin's Accusations of Plagiarism
🕑 Added 2024-06-11 06:48:26 +0000 UTCUPDATE: There is a part in the video 6:39 which is apparently causing a stir because it was mistranslated by korean MHJ supporters.
This is the proper translation, and a published author and literature professor translated this.
NOT NewJeans - Teenage, but the fantasy of adults 상상 is the translation of fantasy but is not often used in a sexual context (though it can be). It is a more general term like ‘imagining’
Context: This is not meant to mean a “sexual” fantasy. In Korean it definitely does not have this meaning. Instead it means that the NewJeans concept is meant to appeal to the young adults’ nostalgia for their teenage years, - like a teenage fantasy as designed by adults. Hence the Y2K references etc. In contrast ILLIT is meant to represent teenagers as they are today and appeal to that younger generation - (this is BELIFT’s opinion / meaning)
NOT 블랙핑크 다가갈 수 없는 완벽한 셀러브리티
NOT 아이브 누가 봐도 인형 같고 공주같은 전망의 대상
NOT BLACKPINK- perfect untouchable celebrity
Not IVE - The object of a doll-like and princess-like outlook

I will do a reaction to be published later.
This is a good video though. Given the emotions you can almost feel through the screen, they managed to remain professional.
Kudos to the performance director, he was very technical but managed to communicate his points clearly.

One of the reasons was the threatening great success of a new girl group with which Hybe would become less dependent on her group.
Nix
MHJ created a mess and then blamed everyone else for it. Ridiculous and frustrating. The other groups will be forgiven, but it will take time for the public to catch up.
