Her backups would of been lost if she didn’t ask for help in the first place. The story ends where it started but she at least had her computer saved so I think you did a fair job

I once wiped my mom's work pc thinking I had a backup made. I was young and dumb and watching her re-enter her taxes from a year of accumulated printed receipts wasn't fun. This was in the mid 00s.
