I'm front... I mean, back! Yeah I guess trying to shift those dead pixels would have been like trying to push air out of vinyl skins. Except somebody else already messed it up. A new backlit LCD was probably the best solution for QoL, certainly better than a stock Advance/SP. Nice little vid 👏

How drastically does the LCD backlight affect battery life? It's absolutely better than it would've been back in the day but doesn't the GameBoy have an on average 20 hours on two double-As? I can see this cutting it down to maybe 10-15.

Glad you decided not to use the adhesive strip, I did that with my pocket and the screen is ever so slightly crooked and it annoys the hell out of me
