Love normalizing staying in your pjs all day and relaxing, building legos by the fire, etc! It's 4pm here in North Idaho and I've been in my pjs all day, and with it getting dark before 4pm it's so nice to see others who just enjoy it :) I'm also staying in my pjs today too!

The train! Will it live in The Cave? So cool! Isn't part of the Christmas baking tradition that you get sloshed and make mutant baked goods? :D As for the NYC water, it is piped down from several reservoirs up here in the Catskill Mtns. So it's good water! I'm sure your water is just fine. As for texture, the 'bagels' that don't taste or feel like bagels have not been boiled in water before baking. That makes them bagel-looking bread, I suppose.

NY bagels are the best 👌 I've tried finding some in TX & yeah, no way. Plus the vegan cream cheese in NY is stellar.

As a Montrealer who is very used to excellent bagels, I can tell you it's just a myth that the NY water is what makes NY bagels so good. It's actually the ingredients used and the baking techniques - which are the same we use up here, hence why we have such a good reputation of having amazing bagels too!
