Looting Pillager

Oh I agree he could not predict it happening, but he has knowledge that there are powerful forces that he had no clue about in his previous life. This means any previous predictions should have been thrown out. Eryk still is operating behind his enemies even with his knowledge because he outran what he knew. Now he has to plan for what he doesn't know. I absolutely agree with what he did by waiting. Last time he lost. He can't afford to hope for another shot. I actually hope the waiting to attack while Eryk is distracted is a brilliant tactic though and not just circumstance. It is always great when the enemy is just as good as you are or better. Makes for awesome fights.

This isn't really a matter of him being proactive though. Eryk just didn't want to face off against the Great Overlord of the Seventh Realm before he was ready, so he waited until Kari was at the Fourth State of Spiritualism before making his move. He had no way of knowing the Great Overlord wasn't sealed, or that he would appear in Nevaria and attack while he, Kari, and Siv were heading to where the Great Overlord should have been. This is simply one of those situations the protagonist could never predict happening.

Looting Pillager

Oh I have no problem with them waiting, but every time Eryk waits on his foreknowledge the results are something outside of his past experiences rears its ugly head to affect things. Eryk needs to be more proactive in his thoughts of the past but he is finding himself so happy it lets him be lulled to a more relaxed state. This is actually a very relateable trait. Why would we go looking for trouble when we are at the top of our game and surrounded by the love of our family?

They assumed the threat was sealed away inside of a stone coffin and didn't want to risk confronting said threat before they were ready. No one knows anything about the seal. What if they showed up and accidentally released the Great Overlord before they were prepared? This was the best Eryk could do with the information they had on hand.

Looting Pillager

Meh this has seriously been coming for a long time. Years to try and take out the greatest threat to the world? And nobody was even just trying to keep eyes on the threat? Yeah nothing bad ever happens when you ignore your enemies.

It should. Thank you for catching that error. :-)

Hi fan. Meet shit. He's about to hit you.

"Because there were no enemies ambushing us from our own shadows, we made it to the underground maze in record time. I couldn’t remember the exact route we had taken last time to exit it. This meant we sometimes found ourselves at a dead end or triggering a trap. Several times *they* had to double back, pick a different route, and try their luck." The description starts with I" and "we" (from Eryk's POV) to " *they* had to double back", Since this is told from Eryk's perspective, shouldn't it be " *we* had to double back"? Looking forward to seeing where you go with things from here!

Just please don't kill her. Every side character I've liked so far has been killed. Let her break the streak

I remember there were a few similar theories about this when people talk about string theory and the butterfly affect. Will be interesting to see what you think when you learn how the Great Overlord of the Seventh Realm got here.

Same. It's nice to see people trying to figure out how the Great Overlord of the Seventh Realm is here and not sealed away.

Daniel Glasson

My bet is he did something similar to Eryk in arriving in his past body. But while Eryk was busy strengthening himself, the Overlord was consolidating his control over his body. He had an issue with that in the flashbacks

I like all the theories that are being shown here and it is very interesting to me I would like to see exactly what happens. And also you know what's about to hit the fan or I guess it's already is 😋

My theory is that this point here is where they piggy-backed on Eryk's Time Jump, They didn't get warped all the way back to where Eryk was. Also with how I feel time should work the Great Overlord can't be in 2 places at once in the same time frame thus he was not resealed back in time but was placed within the Demon Beast Mountain Range some time before the birds but after Eryk where he would have to recoup his strength before he could attack the newly strengthened Eryk.

Erica is friends with Eryk and his harem, but she's not a part of it. She doesn't feel like she compares to the ladies he's already with, so she kept her distance and settled into a more friendly role. There's actually going to be an interesting plot twist I'm planning in the next chapter or two that will explain how the Overlord of the Seventh Realm got here. I'm hoping it will surprise everyone.

I plan to reveal more about how the Great Overlord of the Seventh Realm appeared in this timeline even though he should be sealed.

Grant

Interesting chapter. I am curious what became of Erica since she seemed infatuated with the mc if I am recalling the correct character. I am curious how the overlord got free faster in this timeline. Even if he had retained his memories, he was still sealed in limbo and I suspect in the previous timeline he was freed as quickly as possible so him retaining his memories would be useless.

Yeah. Raul is a good kid. Smart and doesn't do what he knows he can't.

David Fletcher

I can’t believe you’re going to leave us on a weekend cliffhanger like that. I’m glad Raul didn’t pull any tropey nonsense about going to fight on his own. Good kid.

Seems Eryk might have had a passenger on his trip back in time
