This is definitely making me lose a fuckton of optimism and motivation and I am considering staying where I am despite how unsafe and horrible this place is because I am just losing more and more steam with this constant rejection.
People will say its a defeatist attitude. Well I am feeling extremely fucking defeated.

What about apartment complexes or condos? Are there any of those around available for you to rent and be a better place?

I have always heard that getting a house is so hard these days. Maybe there is a condo or apt in a better area of town that you can go to in the meantime. I used to live in a trailerpark for 2 years going to bed each night hearing gunshots and people sometimes screaming. I am not where I want to be now but things got too danherous over there and I had to get out. Definitely keep safety first. I give you the best in your endeavors.
