STRIP Cards v0.14 - Preview #4: Keys 🔑
🕑 Added 2023-07-07 21:17:12 +0000 UTC🔑Keys
Upcoming in this new version of STRIP Battle Action Cards, there will be a new system included for unlocking characters and difficulties. For each opponent you defeat, you'll now earn a new currency called Keys. Use your Keys to unlock new characters in any order you want. After clearing a character's difficulty one time, you will be permitted to unlock the next difficulty using Keys.
This is changed from the current system of clearing each difficulty 3 times before unlocking the next one. With the new system, you'll be able to grind out your favorite opponent repeatedly while still earning progress for the entire game.
Keys required will scale based on how many characters you have unlocked, and difficulties unlocked for that character. Ex: 1 Character unlocked means the next one will cost 1 Key. 2 Characters unlocked means the next one will cost 2 Keys. Ex: To unlock Medium difficulty for a character, it'll cost 3 Keys, and Hard will cost 6 Keys (after first beating Medium at least 1 time).
📊Grid View
I'm working on a new way to experience the Character Selection screen with this Grid View. This optional view will let you see every character at a glance, and see which rewards are not claimed/won yet. This will be useful for late-game completionists~ Feel free to switch between Grid View and Scroll View (standard) with no penalties 👍
⚖Balance
The rewards for Hard and Challenge difficulties for each character will be swapped in the next version (v0.14). Hard will now reward with the 2nd Outfit option, and Challenge will now reward with the Lewd Loop for that character (more on that coming soon). Lewd Loops will also be earned for clearing Challenge multiple times. In the next version (v0.14), only one will be available to unlock, but more will be coming in future versions and will be unlocked immediately if your Save File recognizes multiple Challenge clears.
