Hey guys! Big news, big release! The Lvl 10 Kingmaker Encounter Maps are out now! Containing 15 custom maps for every encounter in the Hooktongue region, as your players explore these dangerous swamps at the edge of their realm!
New Style!
I am no longer making use of Dungeondraft to make maps, and rather using the more professional tools of Clip Studio Paint this allows me to do so much more in terms of shading and blending, so you'll be seeing a lot more dynamic looking maps that'll immerse your players more than ever!
My goal has been to reach similar fidelity to Forgotten Adventures' maps, the creators of the asset set I use. I actually feel that I am nearly there, but it did add to the time it took to create this pack to learn these processes.
The Future of Kingmaker Maps
As you all may know, we are nearing the release date for the official Foundry VTT module of Kingmaker. We still don't know how many maps they've done themselves, but if there is still more work to be done to add things like random encounters or smaller encounter maps that they haven't done themselves, I'll still be making these maps for Kingmaker!
However, I am also going to be creating my own bespoke maps for any campaigns! I'll have a series available to all patreon tiers , but I also plan on having a few exclusive to the Shaman Tier patrons as well, which will have even higher fidelity and interactivity with tiles and such.
I have already made nearly 150 maps since I started this project in January of this year, and it's been an incredible journey. I originally started this just to have maps for my professional games of Kingmaker, but now realizing my skill at mapmaking I'll be devoting even more time to the craft. So stay tuned for new tier benefits!
Finally, I am in the process of providing Flat versions of these maps so that they can be used outside of Foundry VTT. I was unwise enough not to save flat versions of the last 140 maps, so I have to go through and combine them all. Expect them this weekend though! And again, thank you guys for all the support, it's driven me a lot to see how much you guys love these creations, so be assured there's plenty, plenty more!
