We unpack the film's dense symbolism, separating out its genuine insights into the manufactured nature of culture from its intentional misdirection, which would keep its characters and audience forever trapped within that same culture. This dreamy labyrinthine mystery proves to be a sophisticated cinematic psyop that can neither be trusted nor easily dismissed.
