I dumped and preserved an UNRELEASED Original XBOX game
🕑 Added 2023-09-04 11:46:59 +0000 UTCA fan reached out and asked if I could help dump an old hard drive that came from an Original Xbox Development Kit. Of course, I said yes - and was able to preserve 2 games including one that was never before released! In this episode I walk through the process and the games. There is more to come but for now, please enjoy.

Hey Dimitris, I have an un-dumped HDD from a debug unit. The console hangs at the Xbox splash screen, which I've heard is indicative of hard drive failure in debug units. The drive is detected in Windows, but I'm not able to pull any data. Probably needs a restoration service to retrieve data from the platters. Can I send it to you? Even if you never get to dumping it, it's better in your hands than mine
