i hate to argue with my prince, but around 48:00 you ask "why would they do that?" well we live in an attention economy and you made 3 videos about this in 2 days so if they were trying to engineer engagement to play this new (sus) SOTY-née-Oscars game it definitely worked. also the scraped manny metaphor is a little off because anyone can scrape a manny but like who else is coming anywhere near as close to switch ollieing a table the long way? but whatever, that being said, in my thought process that you accurately described as delusional coping, i just thought this clip was so obviously not a make that theres no way a dude with tyshawn's track record would let it be his peace on the subject. to your point, god forbid he's a fallable human. tl;dr the general thrust of media criticism says we are probably being manipulated but i live in a weed-addled delusion and you are probably tired of talking about this clip and im grateful for u.

(Talking about the point around 49:00) I think that you can draw some parallels between the tyshawn switch Ollie and the Ben Kadow smith grind melon. While obviously the context is different, Kadow landed the smith grind melon and then was forced to step off his board as he was going to hit a civilian in his blessed part. As an extremely iconic part and my personal favorite part of all time, seeing him land the smith grind melon in the triple backflip video made that trick all the more rewarding since he was basically robbed of it the first time, not embarrassing or a sign of weakness. I think looking that deep into the tyshawn switch Ollie thinking there will be another angle coming out is some slight lunacy but I hope to be proven wrong.
