SOTY video is almost done and will be up tonight or tomorrow on YouTube.
The reason I am writing this post is to inform you all that the political video I did has been copyright struck by sk8wine. I obviously think it's complete bullshit as my video was fair use, researched and transformative. However I am not going to go down a legal rabbit hole because patreon is threatening my account if I do not comply.
I tried messaging sk8wine weeks ago on instagram to talk, because I know he was upset about my video, but he ignored me and this was his rebuttal, I guess.
Anyway I'm going to try and figure out how to make the video viewable again without actually posting it here. Not too sure I want it to be public as he will strike my channel/ the video is a bit edgy.

Discord wouldn't really be compromised, as channel moderators would have the ability to manually approve/accept members based on Patreon status. Anyone in this group could've simply DM'ed SkateWine with the direct youtube link. I doubt SkateWine is a paying member.

That’s the issue is that it’s clickable through Patreon, it’s not YouTube. He complained to Patreon

They should change their name to SkateWhine... I know it wouldn't be public anymore, but if you make the video private, you should still be able to link it to Patreon and anyone who has the direct link should still be able to watch it.

Peertube is a solid alternative to YouTube and is also free and open source. I know of a few creators who post there + YouTube to make sure they have a backup.
